  1. I have been using my Apple watch series 5 without fail. The screen does have a few scratches, but that is just from me being very clumsy and my arms tend to swing into walls when I walk. The Apple WWDC is coming up and they will be revealing their Apple watch series 7, with the usual HR and O2 sensors but they have now added the functionality of allowing us to listen to music straight from the watch without the need of Airpods. Also sneak a previews of the code for WatchOS have revealed that there is code in the watchOS that will allow you to sync your watch with SRAM AXS devices such ass the GX, XXS derailleur and the Rockshox Reverb AXS seatpost. This means you will be able to adjust your dropper just by raising or lowering your wrist or change gears by twisting your wrist either left or right, all of this will be controlled by your Apple watch series 7. And then I woke up and realized that today is the 1st of April
  2. They're a good combo, I just find that the Racing Ralph doesn't have much grip in dry conditions or on gravel when braking. And if you ride on tar often then you will replace your tires often as well.
  3. I got my Stratos AL 1 frame this weekend after my top tube on my Sido cracked. Most of the parts were a straight swap over except for the rear hub and chain ring, the 34T oval chainring touches the rear swing arm so I had to go back to the standard round chainring. I also upgraded the travel on my Reba from 100mm to 120mm while all of this was done. There is definitely an improvement on the new frame. It is much more responsive than the Sido and it handled everything I threw at it over the weekend from rocky trails to big drops. Where my Sido's suspension would've bottomed out front and back on some sections, the Stratos handled it just fine. The new POP design is great and makes up for not having an oval chainring on the climbs. The only con so far is that I will have to get a smaller water bottle or get used to only being able to take the water bottle out of the cage from one side because of the cross bar from the top tube to the down tube
  4. I am using the gen 5 Apple watch and haven't had any problems. It is consistent when I compare my rides and going downhill (faster sections) to that of my riding buddy who uses a Garmin watch. I always have my iPhone with me but AFAIK the watch only shares the internet connection of the phone and not the actual GPS signal.
  5. The build in the video looks epic. I have done some of the trails there before and loved it so much that I often do day trips to Hogsback just to ride in the forest. Is there any way of sharing the new trails on Trailforks if they're not there already.
  6. It was freezing this morning, well at least by East London standards, 12’C
  7. Just as the sun started coming out, the photo makes it seem much lighter than what it was
  8. Cool, I just know that whole area as Thoboshane
  9. I went down the waterfall/givslang side, there weren't anything on the gate.
  10. Oh wow, didn't know, there weren't any signs saying it's closed. And have seen many Strava activity through there in recent days
  11. So after cleaning your chain with paraffin, do you just wipe it clean with a rag or do you have to rinse it with water and then dry with a rag? Just wondering if after cleaning with a degreaser or paraffin and some of it stays in the chain will it not displace the lube afterwards.
  12. I always think something fun to watch would be an event with only dopers, the drama, aggression and over-the-top self-esteem will be far more binge worthy watching than that guy with his pet tigers
  13. According to a chart found somewhere in the silverback site, 170cm-180cm suited to M frame size
  14. I bought a Titan Expert in early 2015, it was the only bike I could afford at the time and I wasn't too sure if I was making the right decision. But it was a great bike for the price. It lasted for about 4 years of torture through trails in the Transkei and gravel roads through the Eastern Cape clocking roughly 4000km's on it, I even did the half of the 36One in 2018 on it. I've moved on to a dual sus bike now but would love to get that bike back again.
