  1. Not getting a 661. Getting a T.H.E. Carbon. I really do like the look of that 661 tho. The Troy Lee is probably lighter.
  2. Sweet. I'm not really sure why I am even selling it. I love my Troy Lee.
  3. Hahaha. Ja that and Tim Bentley is fast whereas I am *** slow.
  4. Ja. that's the exact one.
  5. Hahahaha. NO. I will swop it for 10 R100.00 notes or 5 R200.00 notes. Just to prove i don't discriminate I'll even swop it for 1000 R1.00 coins. your_name_here2010-02-16 07:36:01
  6. It's a Medium/Large. The design is called red flash. R1000.00. Sort of neg but don't be dumb.
  7. Oh. Anyone looking to buy a Troy Lee D2? I'm selling mine. There's a pic of it in this thread a few pages back. It's well looked after and whenever i crashed I took great care to rather land on something useless like an arm rather than scratch my precious D2.
  8. Hey all. Apparently their is going to be a race at the Sir Lowrys track on the 28th. Not Viewpoint and not Spanish Farm. The last time there was a race there i rode on my xc bike with v brakes. Yes i did crap myself. If you have seen illusionary lines it is the track the Neethlings ride with the hip and step up jumps. If If I remember correctly the track offers pretty much everything. 2 drops, a step up, a rock garden or 2, a small road jump and some flat out stuff too.
  9. WOW!! Now that's an urban track.
  10. Hey guys. Myself and a few others are heading out to Paarl tomorrow morning. Y'all welcome to join although you are gonna have to sort out your own shuttles. Ours is full up. Riding is just like sex. It's always more fun in a big group. your_name_here2010-02-12 07:27:31
  11. That i'm gonna keep until i get one of these.
  12. Ja. I'll let it go for 1k
  13. I'll take door number 3 please sir. The Legend in Black.
  14. WOW. Anybody want to buy my D2? I want one of those in the black and gold.
  15. Vince has got permission to re-open the track on Mola farm in Somerset West. Apparently the track is still there but needs to be cleared before being ridden. The drop in to the gully, the hip and the step up are all still there. We are going there on Saturday to do some track clearing. Any Volunteers?
  16. Ignore my previous post. It turns out Dakine is distributed by Billabong here and Billabong is one of my clients. So getting one of those tailgate blankies from them. There's gonna be at least 6 of us at Paarl tomorrow. We will get there at around 8.30. It gets hot out there so we like to ride early.
  17. Do any of you know where I can get one of those Dakine tail gate blankies for my bakkie?
  18. LOL. Ja. i filled that sucker in. That's Craig's thing. Craig used to give people riding lessons at Paarl on a Saturday morning and he'd spend the whole morning talking about the bike park. Great idea and everything looked so good but they just couldn't get land. If you go and look at the mountains with decent slope you will notice something in common with most of them. Vineyards. i guess the land owners aren't interested in having hundreds of mountain bikers on their land all the time. Anyways. I'm stoked the Paarl thing is coming off. Theirs loads of scope there. The track i was taking about is there already and ready to ride. It needs some work still but it's deff rideable We are going there on Saturday morning. Wanna come?
  19. HUH? GM didn't attempt the bike park. Craig Marshall and Peter Wain did. As far as I know GM kinda lent them his name for a bit of publicity for them. They never even got so far as nailing down a venue. your_name_here2010-02-03 06:26:26
  20. I went up Tokai Yesterday afternoon. Did 2.17 down Boomslang and Mamba. I know that's *** slow. I'm trying to get down to 2.10 but those 2 flat trails are hard work on a DH bike. Great training tho. You really learn how to stay off the brakes and carry speed through the corners. I might just go up again today on my HT.
  21. Check this out http://www.facebook.com/home.php#!/group.php?gid=278412487918&ref=nf It looks like Stefan "the guy who organized the last Paarl race" has somehow managed to convince the land owners to set up a bike park. Amped. It's acually all there already. The shuttle road is there and the monument has a nice parking area so a few more tracks and it's done. There is also a plan to set up a bike park in Glencairn. check out the website http://www.theworkshopcafe.com/ From nothing to 2 bike parks in one week. Sweet.
  22. I'm probably going to the new track on Saturday morning for a shuttle session
  23. I spoke to Eric Palmer last weekend. He lives right there. Apparently the side of the valley that the track is on was not badly affected by the fire and the track is still fine. The 2 road gaps are gone but that is due to the fact that the fire trucks cannot drive on the roads with them there. The track I am talking about is the track that was used for the national last year. I have no idea about the old track.
  24. He He. I will post up on this thread when the next build session will be. I think there will be a race there in the very near future.
