  1. What group you starting........then we can see who is a lightie
  2. I unfortunately fall in this group hence why I asked. But I suppose it's R250...that's cheaper than electricity
  3. Does anyone perhaps know how the test will be done. Swab or pole up the nose?
  4. So it has come out that to get your entry for The 2021 argus. You need to give proof of vaccination or pay R250 for a test. Are you happy with this? What about those in the last group to be allowed to get the vaccine....I myself are in the last weeks waiting to get my second JAB. What if we pay the R250 for the entry....does that guarantee us a ride? Or do we have to get tested again the morning of the race? What if we pay the R250 and the race gets canceled because of windy dangerous conditions.....I mean we are heading into October and I for one know how the wind blows in the southern peninsula. What's your thoughts?
  5. How about you crash your bike into a wall at 60km/h and see how you fair. After that we see how well you......oh wait. You aren't anywhere. How many yellow yerseys do you have?
  6. I think the you having a bad morning cause you have realized now that paying the bills is stressing you out because you are living past your means. Maybe spend less time carring about what you look like and what you ride and consider all the fellow PEOPLE out there....... Thats the point of the mask..... Just cause others in your street arent wearing a mask..... That doesnt make it okay!!!! Use your kop ond stop being a sheeeeep!!
  7. OR take the password lock off your phone because you are hiding things. Its simple. Go to SETTINGS and, Remove password
  8. Well simply. Stop trying to show off with FACIAL RECOGNITION, and leave your phone at home.
  9. Was there any doubt..... Anther World cup winner for the champion. Well done Mathieu
  10. The funny thing is, this could have all been avoided if the said group acknowledged they were wrong and correct their actions. Its not about being the POLICE.BUT no, comments, laughter and a whole bunch of other bs was said. Hence the post. Like many have said, its the safety of the cyclist in the picture as well as all others on the road. But no, some think cause they have status they can rule the road. Not fair.
  11. It was pointed out.... And when pointed out, laughter followed by all sorts of comments..... When they were told they were on camera for it..... The silence thereafter was golden
  12. Well observed, you must clearly have been one of those in the wrong!
  13. Just a quick moan for the day.... Not going to mention names, you know who you are. Seriously guys, riding 3 abreast, sometimes 4 on a already single lane road. All this does is make motorist irritated and making some do stupid things on the road. Making ALL of us cyclist look bad. Come on man we can do better than this..... Oh and before most moan. Photo was taken from a cyclist himself and not while sitting in a car
  14. What a champion......incredible win at amstell gold 2019
  15. Silly question but on the Uvox frame. There is a Enduro cup inside the BB and on the outer rim it says PF30?
  16. Hi Guys Just bought a Uvox rs1 and wanted to use my old Sram red 10 speed groupset. Unfortunately my crank won't work as the spindle is not long enough. Both frames are PF30. The older frame is only 68mm wide, while the Uvox is 73mm. So the spindle is not long enough even with no spacers. What crank should I be using?
  17. Well done to all our South Africans representing us at the Gold Coast common wealth games......Great to see Alan Hatherly coming in and taking the bronze in the XCO MTB, but with all due respect, Clint Hendricks came in and took Bronze in the Road race.....why is there no mention of this any where???
  18. Hey Riaan Ive just read about alot of things that have said everything but answer your questions......... Some are legit statements and some not so much. To answer your questions 1- the "mm" 30,40,50 60, 80 what ever the case, is the the depth of the rim( 80mm are more like mags and not rims) 2- "Deep Section" is just a term used for wheels with more profile.....ie more mm than your standard wheelset. 3- You get 2 types of rims clincher is a term used for a rim that uses the conventional tyre and tube system.tubby(tubular) rims use special tyres that use no tube. The tyre is glued onto the rim( very good for racing if you have a back up vechile, not so good for a Sunday outride as if you get a puncture and your tyre has no sealant, lets just say it will be a very long wait.)4- You also get carbon rims with 2 different breaking surfaces alu breaking surface-uses normal break padscarbon breaking surface-you will need to carbon specific break pads(work just as good as alu when dry but when wet, breaking can be very tricky)Lastly.....if you have the money, go for it, you will feel a MASSIVE difference, as long as you not buying unknown items. Go for the more well known......ZIPP, Vittoria, Token etc........
  19. Theyve made a seperate group for the mtb guys cause they cant handle the roadies bitch and moan when a guy on a mtb is able to keep up with the 7kg skinny wheel road bike.
  20. Thanks☺ Just asking as that one climb that was divided into 3 parts with the water point at the top. Felt as ifwe were climbing into the heavens
  21. Hi Guys Just a quick question.....is there any one that actually measured the metres of climbing for the 76km? Only 250 peole that finished? Also any feed back on the 13km
  22. It really is true. If you did the long distance mtb and completed the argus in the alloted time. A few days after argus they get your particulars and post the special medal to you.
