  1. Hey Guys, So yesterday on my ride(MTB) one of my jockeywheel's seized. Couldnt ride anymore and was a bit of a mission. Quick question, where on the east rand can i get a replacement one from? Cycle Lab does have Thanks
  2. Hey Guys, Sorry if this might seem like a daft question but I'm still educating myself as I go along. I have a MTB right, back tyre is tubeless and front has a tube. Now i believe i can put a tube in my tubeless if im out on a ride and cant patch the hole ect. So here is my question, what size tube must i buy for each tyre if this is the dimensions: Front Tube Tyre: 26 X 2.00 Back Tubeless Tyre: 26 X 2.10 Thanks in advance everybody!
  3. Hi Guys, Anyone ride to Bapsfontein on the R51 , then left onto the R25 and come around back into Benoni? I am wondering for safety purposes ect? Would be riding with a mate

    My 1st 947

Good Morning All, So i been cycling on and off for about a year now(soccer takes up most of my time). I have entered the 947 for the first time this year and really am stoked for it. My father in law convinced me to do(good cyclist). So as a "newbie" i wanted to know from you guys your do's and dont's for the race, basically any info on prepping for it, or things to take with me on the ride etc PS, I am ridding it on a MTB, and i have done a 50KM road race this year which went pretty well considering i dont ride often(2hrs 7mins) Thanks guys and have a super day!
  8. Hi Guys, So basically i am looking for two brand new tubeless tyres 26 X 2.00 for my MTB. What price range should i be looking at for it? I know i am being vague but not sure what other info to give. Ideally the cheapest option
  9. Hi Guys, Has anyone used this watch when cycling? Reviews?
  10. Thanks guys, yes considering they pulling out i might just rather get a fitbit charge 2, does what i need and for the price seems reasonable
  11. R500 a pop seems a bit expensive, might just rather upgrade the watch ?
  12. Hi Guys, I am looking to buy a Tom Tom watch STRAP. I cant replace it for free on their site as the warranty has expired. Then you cant buy off their site either, they give you a list of guys to use and i have tried all of them but they dont have any Large Straps in stock. Does anyone perhaps have a second hand one even? Thanks
  13. I use and Android app called Road ID. Does the job just right
  14. Hey Guys Living on the East Rand(Benoni), I'm wanting to know if there are any more "hot spots" that we should watch out for , i have read the above comments but was wondering if there or more recent updated areas Thanks
  15. Thank you all for the concern and well wishes
  16. Yeah she just looked so schocked, a good couple of cars stopped to see if i was ok which was great to see. Fortunately for her i am a extremely nice guy cause she offered me her details which i declined, bike and i were ok, in hindsight there could of been more serious injuries later which i couldnt think of. However i dont like a scene or fuss so quickly sent her on her way
  17. Hi Guys, Wasnt sure what to call this thread, anyways i was cycling home from soccer coaching on Saturday morning at about 11:15 (total trip is only about 6km's or so). For those on the east rand, more so Benoni will know Mecury road(single lane road), i was coming down there at about 37 Km/h approaching a robot which was green for us, as i got to that intersection a lady in a White SUV decided to turn left, she was behind me and i assume tried to speed up to get in front of me . When she turned , she did so straight into me, putting me flat on the ground. Luckily only had a few scratches on the arm and upper thigh. Its my first accident on a bicycle that i have ever been involved in and i must admit that as she hit me i did fear the worst, but no serious harm. After she stopped a couple 100 m's up the road she came walking down asking if she had hit me which i responded well i did not just fall over on my own. I normally am a very vigilant cyclist and try look out for everyone but this was completely out of my control. Wanted to know if anyone else experienced a similar scenario? PS i was on a mtb so no damage to the bike which was a plus!
  18. Thanks for the update. Speedy recovery and hopefully some clarity as to what happened
  19. Thanks i know what you talking about
  20. Apoligies, starting anywhere in Northmead-Benoni. Flat route but dont mind hills(including Emperors) and ideally a loop but will take a double lap . Other than that im very flexible
