im not quite a silverback fan. 2 of my friends ride Silverback and those bikes are a tad heafy. and they are'nt that happy with their bikes either. any other sugestion.

Well, i tried the seat (mens seat). And no problem. It is a bit wider than my old one and feels ok. Wil try it on a long ride tonight.

Too poor for sram

Higuys, my F/D broke and i took it in to my lbs and they put a new one on. The problem is that when i got it back they said that my left sti gave them a little trouble. Now that all is fixed when i went for a ride my sti is sooo stiff, i have to push it very hard for th F/D to shift. Is it because the F/D is new and it needs to work in a bit, or is there another rason for this. It is quite uncomfortable. Has anyone experienced this before?

yep also been riding with it for about a year and sure as hell i still fall. I once stopped at home and almost fell my friend off her bicycle in our driveway. lol she was not happy.

oh and they want R2000 to R2400 for it? if that might help

Ok so its mostly the shock and brakes and what about the weight of the bike?

that makes sence, so what bikes (not the really expensive ones) has a good shock

does the components of a bike make one perform better? Eg. Better parts on the bike make u ride better than on a bike that has say entry level parts (acera)?

thanks! ive got a budget up to about R6000 in about 2 months so still on the subject of merida what would u say i should look at. There are not a lot of 2nd hand meridas for sale and because im a small its much harder to find aswel so my option looks like a new bike. any sugestions on a merida?

hi there, while on the topic i was also thinking of upgrading. i ride the avalance atx375 and was looking at the merida TFS100? I've really taken a liking in the merida. I've onley been riding for a year but love the sport and am serious about upgrading this year.
