Hi guys I am a road biker who whishes to get into MTB. I have R4,000 to spend. Would you guys agree that the best value for money would be the Silverback Alpine or Saturn?

Honestly I would if they can only arranged it better. The train stopped in a tunnel that smelled like urine (actually it was). The train was too far from the lodge as you had to walk a km around or 100m over tracks. Lastly thew warm water and power ran out on Sunday. (I slept there the Sat evening) I certainly love the riding down and back (done it 4 times) but I would rather book into a guest house once I am there.

I certainly did consider that. In any case its a drag to take your bike before hand and fetch it afterwards. It means going to the airport 4 times.

Ja and they make you sign an indemnity form beforehand so that you cannot put in a claim against them.......... Shiiiiiit...................... Last year they sent the bloody thing to Durban instead of Bloemfontein but atleast then they told me. This time around its just gone.........

My bicycle was lost or stolen in transit from Cape Town to Jo'burg (confirmed by the airlines as the bike was scanned out on Sunday at 16h00 already and arrived "nowhere"). You guys are all well connected so please keep the following in mind should you come across a sale add etc describing the following bike.... - Silverback team issue bike - Neotel version (full carbon frame and seat post) Large size - Brand new Campagnolo Groupset - The wheels was custom build - nothing funny here - looks like normal wheels - The metal cranks were your feet clip in is really really old (10 years) and you can tell - White saddle Rav - X - The handlebars have holes for TT-handles although none attached - A definate check if you find a bike like this is... at the rear end the tyre chaffed the inside of the carbon frame pretty bad and left black marks. (you have to take the rear wheel off to see this though) I cant seem to get a photo attached. Regards
