  1. Any tips on how to remove sealant from my road bike frame? Never seemed to have this issue on my MTB it normally comes off quite easily. I have no idea which sealant the bike shop used.
  2. Hey everyone Staying at Roodeplaat dam, not from around here, I see quite a lot of strava segments in the area, does anyone know of any no spots or should I be okay to go for a spin around the dam without being bike jacked?
  3. Hi all, New to Pretoria East (lynnwood) and was wondering if there are any WEEKDAY groups going out? I know there are tons of weekend group rides. Preferably road. TIA
  4. Hi all I recently purchased a second hand road bike with Ultegra Di2. I found the bike here on bikehub, the lady selling it had moved to CT from JHB and a few of my friends know her so I took the risk of buying a bike I hadnt been able to view. Anyway the bike arrived without the Di2 charger (its one of the older models so a replacement charger was quoted as R2800). I paid her her full asking price for the bike. Had I known the charger would not be supplied I would have offered her less for the bike. The charger comes in the box with any new Di2 set, same as buying a cellphone, you get a charger in the box, a garmin you get a charger in the box. She is now refusing to pay for another charger or refund me any amount to go buy another one. She says I shouldnt have assumed the charger would have been sent with the bike if it wasnt specified in the advert. Please could you share your opinions, am I in the wrong here? I feel like its quite an obvious thing to be supplied that shouldnt need to be listed in an advert.
  5. Thanks so much, do you know which small batteries would work? Ill need to see if I can find a retailer in JHB
  6. Hey all Need to replace my Garmin rally power meter battery, does anyone know where I can find these CR1/3N Battery in the Randburg/Roodepoort area?
  7. Hi everyone, looking for some objective advice on which Road bike power meter to get and not old or the only stock a salesman is trying to sell me. I would prefer something easily transferrable if I get a new bike at some stage and not the most expensive top of the range, happy with the basics. TIA
  8. Hi everyone, just to give an update on this topic. The guys from Extreme lights contacted me after after reading this post. The bracket which you can buy from them does in fact work on the Nifty, they were so kind as to pay for the light to be couriered to them to install the bracket and send it back to me. Best service I think I have ever received, thanks Extreme Lights team
  9. Looks like I have 700, attached a pic, so I should then get the riser block then correct?
  10. Nope, according to the manufacturer it’s not needed for the core but maybe I should try it out anyway. Thank you
  11. Hey everyone Not sure if anyone else has experienced this but when I do a normal ride on my road bike for a few hours I have no issues. As soon as I put it on the IDT the saddle hurts, I don't think I am sitting properly on my sit bones but rolled forward slightly. I have a specialized power saddle women specific and they did a set up for me. I have done the obvious things like standing up and moving around when riding as you would on a normal ride. I have also raised my handle bars so that I am sitting more upright. Does anyone have any advice? I have not adjusted the saddle, not sure if tipping it forward or back might make things any worse. I should probably just go back to the bike shop where they did the setup but I am pressed for time and would be great if I could just solve this on my own. TIA
  12. Has anyone tried to upload a structured workout from Training peaks to RGT? It seems you need to email the fit. file you download from TP to Workouts Import <workouts@rgtcycling.com>. This then uploads the workout to RGT. I had the settings on erg mode but didn't feel any change in resistance which makes me suspicious that its not reading the file properly? Does anyone have experience with RGT? I don't want to have to subscribe to Zwift as well as Wahoo to get my workouts from my coach.

  14. Thanks for the feedback so far. Here are some pics, I contacted extreme lights and this light isn’t compatible with the clamp (doesn’t have the screw that the other lights of theirs have). I don’t want to permanently stick the light to the bars. Maybe I’ll try no more nails. Hope it won’t bugger up my bar.
  15. Hi there, I recently purchased the extreme lights nifty. As soon as I hit any bumpy single track the light drops. Extreme lights don’t sell a bracket to help stabilize it. It’s fine for road rides. Does anyone have any ideas or also had this problem with this light? I normally place it on the thinnest part of my handle bars and obviously fasten it as tight as I can.
