Hi all Before I purchase I just want to check what anyone's experience has been like trying to follow a mountain bike map on the Garmin Edge 130 Plus. We used one for the mini munga and it was great. Having said that it was mostly gravel roads. I wonder how well this device would do if there was more single track? The next device up is not only way more expensive I wont use most of the features. I just want to go on holiday, download some routes and ride. I don't need all the scientific data even though it is quite cool. Thanks in advance

Hi there My bike shop recommended I rotate two chains every month so that my cassette and components last longer. Normally I would just wash the chain after every ride with clean green and I have a parktool to measure the wear, I normally get a new chain before its gets too old. Its quite a mission to take it to and fetch from the bike shop once a month. Does anyone know if its worth the effort and if so which brand of chain will be the easiest for me to do on my own without having to go to the bike shop every time. I have a 2x11 mountain bike. Hi everyone Does someone perhaps have a GPX or route from Hazeldean to Rosemary Hill. I did this ride once that had both parks in but cant for the life of me find it. We used to incorporate Groenkloof as well but I believe its not that safe there anymore so happy to leave that out. Thanks in advance

Hi everyone So my bike shop noticed a crack on my carbon frame, I am not the first owner and the first owner has lost the proof of purchase so I have gone the insurance claim route. I have no idea what caused the crack, its not bad and hasn't even been creaking. It's near the BB at the bottom. Its a 2014 Spez Epic Comp. I am insured with Cyclesure.

Hi there The bike shop recommended I service my frame as its a bit creaky. It doesn't creak when I ride it but besides that what exactly does this entail? I tried to google it and nothing comes up. I cant say I have ever heard of this before and before I ask and get given some fancy story as to why I should get it done can anyone here shed some more info on the topic and is it worthwhile doing?

Are there any early weekday rides rides starting from wanderers, illovo, dunkeld, sandton area? Maybe the Engen2engen route but not starting in Bryanston? I have to be at work in Sandton by 8am and ride a MTB bike but happy to ride on tar.

Hi all My local bike shop suggested i use engine oil as lube for my mountain bike instead of buying lube. He says he has been using it for years as its much cheaper. he said i must only put a drop on every second link. Any objections to this?

The only reason their service is so fast is because they are a rip off and no one ever goes back, if you know anything about cycling you'll know they're expensive, watch out especially if you are a lady.
