  1. I've contacted Scott now. Just a bit annoyed because I've already had one warranty claim for the x-fusion rear shock when the bike was brand new. I also had the Sram SX Eagle derailleur break off which I found out could have been a warranty claim after I replaced it. At this point if it is a warranty claim I'm in half a mind to tell them to take the bike back and send me a new one
  2. I've been worried about these cause it doesn't look like a very "tough" coating to me but I've only had a Momsen with silver coating on the suntour fork and it's showing wear now and I think the bike is a 2015 model
  3. Agreed I'll definitely have it checked out I'm super OCD about my bikes so this scared me a bit lol
  4. I got the bike in November its a 2020 Scott Spark 970 so it's due for its first follow up service but I'll definitely take it in for a checkup on the shock. Its a RockShox Judy Silver. I thought it was strange and I'm kind of glad I saw it now
  5. Hello, I was hoping I could get some help- my mountain bike only has about 400km on it and I noticed some light scratches on my stanchion when I was washing it this morning after a muddy ride. Just wanted to know if this can be normal from use of the bicycle or if there's something I need to look out for and if I should take it in for a service. I don't ever spray water directly towards the fork and usually just wipe it down with a wet cloth when there is mud on the stanchion. I've attached a photo to the post so you can see.
  6. Ah I see then hopefully they do replace/repair it. Not sure how this could have happened on a new bicycle but I'm glad its getting sorted
  7. This is what I was talking about, hopefully we can get them. Do you have to be team vitality cycling to get these?
  8. I got my vitality active points with the HR being above a certain amount but was under the impression we could claim points for the event too or something
  9. I did take it through to Ridgeway they took the shock off the bike and put a loan on, also a x-fusion shock in the O2 range. Pumped the loan up to 150psi with the dudes at the shop and we got the 20-25% sag I was after. They're going to have a look at the shock and keep me updated but haven't heard anything yet.
  10. Has anyone been able to claim vitality points for this? I can't find anything on the Discovery website
  11. ah right that too, thanks!
  12. Hey guys, quick question for a noob, I've picked up my race number and racetec chip, first time I'm doing a race so only got one now. The chip comes with a plastic adapter thing to put behind the bolt of the wheel quick release and they say you HAVE to use that or buy an ankle strap, problem is my bike doesn't have a bolt like that so can't really put it there the way they want so can I just cable tie it to my fork or something?
  13. Thanks going to pull through on Saturday, bit worried cause I'm riding the 947 MTB on Sunday though. So we'll see what they say. Thanks for all the advice
  14. No it did decrease after adding more air, but probably about 1mm. Its on 15mm now with 240psi
