  1. Oh no that’s bad timing. Well then an ebike city tour will have to suffice. And the missus can join
  2. Tell her it’s a win win for you both. You’re spoiling her with an authentic meal in Trastevere and a riverside walk to digest the pasta and tiramisu. Followed by a sleep-in the next day while you ride, with a lunch above Spanish steps upon your return.
  3. Any South Africans still travelling to Rome? With the weaker rand it's probably one of the better places to go in Europe. Food and accommodation pricing is similar to SA. If you're travelling with family and need a 'rest day' from tourist stuff, consider an Escape from Rome day ride: https://clubsuiveur.com/3718-2/
  4. Was it stolen with a lefty fork?
  5. 99% sure. It’s been sold on the cycling community whastap group. Still has the same cages. Please send serial number and more photos for proof
  6. I think I found your bike in Lusaka
  7. Check out the Specialized Command post which is available in various sizes and uses a standard gear cable for ease of maintenance and durability. I prefer it to the Reverb because it doesn't need to be bled and it pops up faster.
  8. Thanks for the help. Yes I have also tried Silverback with no response. I have also thought of trying the local distributers like Dragons Sports (Giant, Santa Cruz amongst others) but there are no vacancies either. Has anyone gone over to the US to work in the cycling/bicycle or related industry?
  9. Hi Hubbers, Are there any opportunuties for a young engineer who is keen to get involved in the cycling industry? I know the local industry is mainly based on wholesale and retail, and that most R&D happens in USA, but I realise that I need to start somewhere to gain experience so I would appreciate any ideas. Thanks
  10. Hi Madmac, I am looking into doing a mtb holiday in Switzerland next June/July, so also trying to find info. We found some cool sites which show three national mtb routes and other regional and local routes, but they dont seem to contain much technical mtbing, more touring. check out : http://www.myswitzerland.com/en/home/interests/excursion-summer/27764/summer-mountain-tips/a-mountain-bike-trail-to-beat-them-all.html http://www.mountainbikeland.ch/en/welcome.cfm We also posted a request for more info on a swiss bike forum so if we get a reply I will post the details here. Dont you think september is too close to winter? cheers!
  11. Elvin you are not the only one frustrated with PPA. I have been a long time member but have not renewed this year due to the kind of cr@p you described above..and thats not where it ends. Luckily for us there are so many races these days not organised by PPA, and you can start at the FRONT (if you are competitive) as a non-PPA/club member (unlike the PPA races) and EVERYONE gets a time. There is no reason why a non PPA member should not be allowed to start a race at the front (mtb races) if he/she is competitive and not get a time. I hope PPA will become more accomodating to all cyclists in the future.
