That too. However, I’m more advocating for a pro-active rather than a reactive approach. Most people who drink and drive have an “it-won’t-happen-to-me” attitude so we will likely still get these incidents.

The City of Cape Town will need to get creative in keeping runners / cyclists safe on the roads, especially around major events. These runners were likely training for the Two Oceans. I don’t have any bright ideas on how, but they need to think out of the box.

Cycle Teknix (on Blaauberg road) has a workshop. I don’t remember their pricing but was nothing out of the ordinary iirc.

First ask for your money back and if it doesn’t happen then just throw it away and add this under education on your CV. The days of assuming people are as honest as you are long gone OP. If you venture into the classified again for the fork ask for a video of the fork in action plus pictures.

The question is: does a new bike come with a charger? If yes, then it is reasonable to expect that a charger is included when buying a second hand bike. If new doesn’t have a charger then a second hand one cannot be expected to come with the charger unless buyer wants to pay extra for the charger.
