  1. It’s my understanding that for now at least it’s only certain Wahoo trainers that work.
  2. Assuming you have a compatible trainer, absolutely.
  3. I’m about to correct you because you’re WRONG!!!!!!🤣😁 Hehe. As was mentioned in the last post, you can use it on your stock cassette. That’s what I’m doing. @thebob It doesn’t necessarily have to be your 14t cog. Zwift and Wahoo do their witchcraft and calibrate it to wherever you’ve decided to leave it. I went up and down all my gears front and back until I found the quietest combination (I really need to highlight just how much quieter Zwifting is now!!!) and that’s where I left it ( I just checked it and my current ratio is 36-21) The calibration then did the rest of the work.
  4. I was fortunate enough to have a friend visiting family in the Netherlands. So the family ordered them and the friend brought them back. I must say, given the amount of South Africans I see on Zwift, they really could make it easier for us to get their products.
  5. I was always under the impression that these would just be “nice to haves”, but when Zwift announced that they’d be integrating virtual shifting, I just had to get them. Absolutely loving them.
  6. @mecheng89 @michaelbiker they just couldn’t handle the raw power that I put out. Simple as that! Or in reality, they just started making horrific grinding noises. The first time it happened the distributor asked my LBS to try and change the bearings and service it. That didn’t work. So then the distributor supplied a new one. The second time the distributor simply told my LBS to swap it out.
  7. @EmptyB It would be great if you could keep us updated on this. I’m on my 3rd Kickr Core now but I’m out of warranty, so the next time it pops will be on me to sort out.
  8. The elevation profile of the Ride for Sight race is not terribly unlike the Ride Joburg 94.7, albeit Ride for Sight is about half the elevation. What I mean to say is in the first 40ish k’s of Ride Joburg your average cyclist has an “almost” elite riders average kph, and then you hit Kyalami and everything you’ve just achieved goes out the window. I suspect that (like many of us have done and some still do) you got caught up in all the excitement and latched onto a bunch you could never really hang with and burnt all your matches before the real work was about to start. The key is to be able to see and feel your zones and limits and ride within that. Please don’t see this as condescending or something of that sort. It’s just the opinion of someone who has had your experience 1 too many times.
  9. Have you tried resetting it? Put the battery in the wrong way round(or hold it in) for a minute then try again. I've never had this happen with my garmin HRM, but that’s what I was advised to do with my Wahoo HRM and it did the trick.
  10. Here’s my updated version if you(or anyone) is interested The fast one? (2024).gpx
  11. @Frosty the route has changed a tiny bit, at least according to their Facebook page
  12. Damn, you’re good!😜 Have a great ride.
  13. After multiple requests on Facebook for the .gpx , I ended up just building my own on Strava. It’s accurate to within about 100 meters (which is just the exact point of the start and finish)Mail me at killkittie@gmail.com and I’ll send it to you.
  14. Thanks @ChrisF, I’ll certainly look it up.
  15. @lechatnoir Thanks for the reply…. So would something like this make more sense?
