H Covie I do understand this but there must be some type of way to protect the Hub members. When you ask for a loan from the bank,they frist check you out. Why cant the Hub do that ? I have also been done in when i bought a tean flx merida from a guy and found out the next day the frame was damaged,after trying to get hold of him again all this contact details had changed ,cell,id,address,and before you say it was my fault,cycle lab gave me the full bill of health on this bike. Hi everyone I am also new to the site and have also noticed alot of scaming and junk on the Hub,but at the end of the day it should be for passionate cyclists. At the end of the day if you want to enter a race you need your Racing number that has all your info on it and include verification from the National Bike Registry as Holy roller has mentioned. Let that be two of the criteria that is needed to enter the Hub which first has to be verified by the Hub and only then you may enter the Hub as a member. Hi 1st story...I took a Merida cardon in for a service and quality check before i sold it to another mountain biker,the services cost me R.2100.00 and got a clean bill of health,the new owner took it home and phoned me an hour later to tell me the frame has broken,i phoned cycle lab and told them about it ,they said its got nothing to do with then.even after the brake was due to a over tightened bolt.I had to refund the money. 2nd story..I took in a Rock shox sid for a service and they told me they send it away and it will cost R.600.00 for everything,a week later i get the shock back and get my bike ready for the 94.7.mext morning will doing my final setup the shocks are flat,so i pump them up to presure they did not even last 10 km.Itook them back the next week and the problem carried on for a mounth untill i replaced them. The question is why do we take our bike the the BIG CYCLE SHOPS WHEN THE F*%K THEM UP AND DO NOTHING ABOUT IT ???? Regards Ab
