  1. Hi to all.. this should be so easy, but I am battling. Wanting to buy a Brookes B17 Imperial saddle with the cutout and prefer the light brown or honey colour. Will take black or dark brown though if light brown not available. Who has stock. Ordered from those idiots Bike Inn, what a shower of shite. take your money, promise 2 week delivery and hey presto, will be delivered next year now they tell me. Who has stock, who actually can supply. Cheers.
  2. Howzit ouens. Looking for Brookes saddle cream. Called Proofide. Who sells this in SA that I can order online. Cheers. H.
  3. Yo, good evening. Best way to transport a bicycle on a NP 200. I got thule racks - one of the big boys that clips onto a towbar and a single unit also clips onto towbar. But the NP 200 does not have a tow bar. So, should I install a tow bar on the little bakkie? A clip on type deal? A roof rack type deal? Got a canopy on it as well. Thanks.
  4. Hi. Was trying to get Cadence products but was a mission. Finally found the whole range on Takealot. Got the big five products I was looking for, all sorted.
  5. Hi. Wanting to make cycle jerseys for about 10 people. Have a design already, now need someone to manufacure and print. Who is in this game. Ta.
  6. My local shop, all the above posts actually underestimate just how much he does. True champion. Will most certainly get his rewards in heaven one day. Good friend, good person, good mentor. Howard Mollison
  7. Hello Ouens. Gooi asseblief. Best brand of products all around. Pre ride drinks, during the ride drinks, after the ride drinks, shakes. So confusing with all the advertising rubbish. Hoping to settle on one brand for the lot. Of course a lot of okes are gonna say bananas, Black Cat, nothing needed etc. But if you get past this, is there one brand of supplements that fits it all. Cheers.
  8. Hi. I have two bikes - MTB and Gravel Bike. Each has its place. My Garmin 1030 moves easily between them, happy days. Looking for a power meter now. Hoping to get one unit that I can easily move between bikes. Was thinking of a left hand Garmin power pedal only, just loosen from bike A, move to bike B, nip up and away you go. My cleats are Shimano SPD mountain bike cleats. What other options are there that would work for me. Cheers.
  9. Hi we in van Rynsdorp for tomorrow and looking for a nice easy 25 to 35 kilo gravel loop. Hopefully see some flowers. Any suggestions? PS. If posted in the wrong section, sorry, where should I post a request like this. Ta.
  10. Hello to all. Chaps Arno is the king, we do nothing except through him. But stuff like this he reccomends we do the leg work and buy online. No margin for him and a mission of modern interwebs n rubbish he prefers to avoid. Certainly if you need anything cycling related in Prince Albert then Arno is "The Man!"
  11. That link is 100 cement exactly what I use Where to get in SA???
  12. Hi to all. Ok cadence sensors sorted out. Now I need another Varia light mount for the rear light. Cannot use the other options and rather poorly, garmin did not drill a hole in the light to attach a safety lanyard so the fitting you use must be correct., or risk losing the whole unit. Who are the Garmin agents in SA that I can make 100% sure they know what my needs are, then I can order through a local bike shop.
  13. Hi to all. Just purchased a 2nd bike. I have a Garmin 1030 and a Garmin Varia rear radar light. To move the Garmin between the bikes all I need is a 2nd cadence sensor?? and a 2nd means of mounting the 1030 and the rear light? I do not use the axle mounted speed sensor that came in the 1030 box. Am I supposed to? or do I just rely on the units GPS to give me speed and distance. What else do I need to purchase to make the move between the bikes seamless. Hoping to take the 1030 adn light from the charging station straight to the bike for the day, click in and ride. Please give me any tips and advice, I find the 1030 quite complex and not really intuitive. Cheers. Howard.
  14. Eish, so much to learn. Thinking of going for the One. Specialised also got some 50% discounts on the go.
  15. I see some great specials on the Momsen site. Looking for a gravel bike, does anyone have input on these 2 bikes. Seems a good deal. Cheers. Howard.
  16. Awesome event this. Great route, well planned, a good weekend away.
  17. Hi to all. Best options for 2 mountain bikes. Frames are different so the hanging units not working. Thank you in advance for any input.
  18. Ok, again thanks for info. Looks like Wahoo Elements Bolt and Wahoo Kickr4. Had my eye on Garmin 1030 but a very experienced rider with a strong IT background says the Elements is the way to go. However, I need access to my phone whilst riding, I need to see who is calling, messages etc. Can the elements do this as well as the Garmin 1030. This is the biggest thing for me, clients call whilst i am cycling and I lose income. Who has exeperience with taking calls and messages whilst you riding, then stop to accept the call etc. Cheers.
  19. https://www.takealot.com/garmin-edge-1030-topoactive-africa-bundle/PLID48590491 Is this any good - Garmin 1030 Is this a good deal? Learning so much from all these posts, appreciated. Cheers.
  20. Thanks to all some good input. Kickr4 does seem to have some issues. Pity. Will look at TACX Garmin 530 it will be Power meter - still need to do some more homework on this, still lost.
  21. Upgrading my post. As I do more homework and learn more on this site, I see I will be looking soon for a power meter and a bike computer. I would hate to buy goods that do not integrate and I sit with a VHS machine and Beta tapes and LPs and CDs while all others are now on Netflix. So. I have a good bike and a Polar Heart Rate monitor watch. Strava on my phone. What I am looking for is a one stop shop - new or 2nd hand: Indoor trainer - for winter, for power training Bike computer - must integrate with the indoor trainer and power meter Power meter - must integrate with the above. What else do I need? Any one stop shops that I can present my situation to that can service my needs? Cheers.
  22. Hi to all. Back in cycling after a long long 10 year period off. Now able to to do about 10 hours a week training. Used to have a Cat Eye indoor trainer, placed the whole bike in the trainer with the front wheel off. Was excellent training for me. Now looking for advice on what to do, what to purchase in this new modern era. Live in Prince Albert which is MTB cycling heaven, but still feel the need for an indoor trainer for the days I simply cant get out. Any advice, input appreciated as well as links to links in previous posts, which I did search, but think I still need more input. Cheers.
