So Coolheat came back to me after they said they cant help me and arranged a used one from somewhere and had it shipped to me. Best cycle related service I received in a very long time! Most bike shops usually go nah you cant get this part or something like that just to make more money of you and these guys went out of their way to help me. They surely have my vote!

Okay I tried Coolheat, eBay.com and ebay.co.uk nothing. Any luck on that look in the cupboard? It's a XT Deore M780 derailleur, the inner plate's part number is Y5XF10100. Thanks!

I looked on eBay and only found one supplier and he only ships around in Italy

Hi everyone, This weekend I Broke the inner plate of my rear derailleur in two. It's a XT Deore 10spd. Does anyone know where I can get a new plate or know someone who wants to sell theirs, because the two shops I all ready spoke to told me that the only answer is a new derailleur . Thanks

Ek het ook vanoggend amper so verassing gekry, ek raak 5 uur wakker met 'n moerse lawaai. dit klink soos iemand wat die heel tyd op 'n pyp met 'n hammer of iets kap. Net voor ek by my woonstel (wat in 'n redelike veilige plek in Stellenbosch is) uitstap hoor ek net my buurvrou se, "wat maak jy?" Ek ruk die deur oop en hier probeer 'n ou my fiets se slot af kap met . . . . wag vir dit, 'n BAKSTEEN. Ongelukkig vir my en gelukkig vir hom was hy al so paar tree voor ek by hom kon uitkom. Nou sit ek met 'n moertoe slot en 'n fiets wat ek nie kan los kry nie. As hy net geweet het dat kombinasie met net een syfer uit was . . .

Buy a can of brake cleaner ( aerosol can ) and spray into the caliper, that should sort the noise out. I'm going for 2200 Km's on my pads front and back, maybe the system needs to be bled again. The life time also depends on the type of pad, organic, semi metallic or metallic, most are semi metallic witch should last a while.

Did you had any luck fixing it, I have more or less the same problem.
