  1. Haha well said. You can take over from me here. This grumpy old man needs to get off the hub, get some work done and then go for a ride
  2. I should have clarified what I meant.. they are pushing disc brakes more than ever this year for marketing reasons, this drives the weight of the bike up which is why I meant marketing in 2020 doesn't allow for 6.9kg aero bikes.
  3. lol I appreciate a good troll Brendon, well done
  4. It used to be you could get 6.9kg aero bikes, but marketing in 2020 doesn't allow for it. I understand bikehub is paid to promote this bike but it just looks like another heavy, over priced hassle prone ride following the current money making trends. Plus the proprietary parts would just be a headache to replace. Each to their own but I don't like to wait weeks or months for stuff that you should be able to walk into a bike shop and buy.
  5. That's the marketing in 2020 for ya Pogacar and Roglic both had 6.8kg bikes for this years tour. They were lucky as their teams went with performance > marketing.
  6. Pro cyclists ride the bike they are given by the sponsors.
  7. Good looking bike, but I can't believe they brag about the 7.26kg best spec model (let's assume around 7.4kg with pedals and all). This is for a $8000 bike LOL! The best part is they use Van Der Poel to market this. Who actually thinks if he had a choice that van der Poel would choose this mamil tech over a 6.9kg older rim version.
  8. YOUR AN ABSOLUTE SAVAGE with talk like that you must have the palmares to back it up?
  9. What's your longest ride Brendon? I see strava has it at 301km, which is still shorter than this oaks "epic fail". If you spent half as much time riding as you did taking the moral high ground on the hub you would have won 3 TdF titles by now
