  2. Sad day for Free State cycling. There will be no OFM classic anymore due to financial reasons
  3. Done 8 Argus rides with mine. never had any problems. R3500 is the price it goes for now. Bought mine second hand at that time for R4500.
  4. Most of us in Bloemfontein train on the N1 . Most of us also know to stay away from N1 during holiday time due to the volume increase in vehicles. Been training on N1 fro 14 years now. Not 1 bad expierence. Mostly find that trucks will move over to other lane when passing. The only thing that you learn quickly is to handle the off ramps. Never know if someone is going to turn because most drivers don't indicate when they leave the highway. Training on N1 is like any other road , the rider must adapt to the road to be able to be safe. Most big races in Bloem also on N1 . Goes back to rider knowledge and attitude where and how you cycle to be safe.
  5. Was my ninth Amashova. Last 4 years had my number couriered to me in Bloemfontein with no problem. Normally do Amashova in about 4 hours so no race snake. Goody bags and expo never bothered me. Rather have no expo or goody bag than have one that 90% of people complain about it being too small or goody bag worthless. I do it because of road closure and good marshals. Even with the rain this year I still enjoyed it. Will be back to do tenth next year.
