    Cytopower

It is confusing. There was a case against Kellogs with the Advertising Standards body a year or so ago, where someone had a go at them for saying a bar had only 3Cal in it. The ASA came back and said that it was generally accepted that cal and Kcal are seen as the same thing! (Duh, dont' unserstand that!) But Kellogs said thay would infuture use Cal, (with a capital C), to mean Kcal... Bottom line 1 cal is a tiny amount of energy and most products actually mean Kcal when the use cal or Cal.

I've been using CytoPower for racing for ages and have been happy with it, but one complaint has always been that it has very little Carbohydrate in it, so I've always supplimented with Vooma Gels, so an increase in Energy content should be good.
  3. That's our team Captain!!! I'll say this quietly, MAYBE WE ARE BETTER OFF WITHOUT HIM!!!!!!
  4. Race number: VB461 Start time: 6:05 Unless I can convince organisers to let me start in VA with Willehond!
  5. Get rid of the Oom tag the only way we know how, RIP THE LEGS OFF THEM and leave them to suffer behind us!!
  6. No thanks needed, those are the things we do for our team mates!!
  7. Sal Oom my opie hills stoot? Die Willehonds kloof maak my baie bang!!
  8. Thanks everyone for all the comments and advice! I tend to go with Johan that Clinchers are just more suitable to everyday riding and my level of racing, (Vets, no where near the front!). I'm still not much closer to knowing what is the right way to go, but as in everything in life, it's more about your feeling and opinions than the facts! So, bottom line for me, probably Clinchers, light weight and easy to maintain and true. The only question left for me, is do I go for build my own from good components or go for the complete brand name... I dunno!
  9. Hi Johan, As the "expert" wheel builder, what kind of wheel would you build me for a set of budget race wheels in the range of R5000
  10. My race weight comes in at about 65Kg's, so you comments about the deep sections fit right in with my "fears" about them. Do you know Easton EA90 SLX's and would if so, how would you compare them to the Ascents? I see there is a pair of Ascents on sale in the clasifieds....TheYak2007-11-04 10:41:04
  11. Should have been elation mate! I still feel the pain for you!
  12. Is he Johan Bornman, Yellow Saddle Wheel builder and Beer taster, (From his profile!)
  13. Sounds like a good option, Is Johan on the hub? Or how do I contact him?
  14. Now if there was a big toy room, filled with all the latest and greatest for us to try, it might make it a lot easier to choose!
  15. If I could afford it, I'd be right there with all the bling that I could muster, but unfortunately, reality intrudes and I must carefully consider what will give me the best bang for the buck. The problem is, I just don't know what bang or even what buck!!
