  1. Does anyone have a slimmer conical headset spacer laying around? The current one is around 15mm and I'm looking for something 5mm or less. I've searched high and low for something slimmer without any luck. I'm on the verge of replacing the entire headset or cutting down this one in half (which I'm very reluctant to do). If anyone knows where I can source a spacer that would also be great!
  2. It’s actually to clamp a cannondale stoker stem to the Captain’s seat post. I stumbled across that shim as well, and it appears I’ve incorrectly measured the stem’s diameter so it should actually be perfect! Besides, I think the stem should be able to take up the .2 mm difference without slipping, if need be.
  3. Hi guys, Does anyone know where I can find a reasonably priced 27.2mm to 31.8mm shim locally? I’ve only found this shim locally but it’s R575 after VAT and shipping. Does anyone know of any alternatives? Thanks!

  5. Most groups start before 5am because the roads are just too busy after ~6:30 in my experience. And the aformentioned groups have good numbers, some mornings the largest group has ~20 cyclists and on Fridays some of the groups have almost 60 cyclists doing an airport loop.
  6. I'm assuming this is with regards to Bicycle Line. Just show up and ride. You can ask employees in the bike shop to add you to the whatsapp group where they post the rides and routes. And e-bikes are welcome, always a handful of e-bikers that join the ride.
  7. Bicycle Line Summerfields (on Atlas Road) has various groups (usually a 25, 28, 32 ave speed) each morning (Tuesdays - Fridays) leaving Bicycle Line Summerfields at 4:40 am. There is also a group starting 4:20 am at the engen garage on the corner of Kingfisher and Rondebult, as well as Sunward Park Slipstreamers leaving from the garage on Kingfisher accross Papachinos. There is also a group starting from the BP on North Rand road, but I'm not sure what time they start, but from my understanding they usually average 30+. Most of these groups have their own whatsapp group where they post ride times and routes. I usually commute to Bicycle Line every morning, if you're looking for someone to commute there and back send me a message
  8. Did you have to resort to using a half-link or were you lucky with the chain tension considering the vertical dropout? How did you go about closing up the cable routing holes? Clean build!
