Actually got the time from FS cycling president and the winning time was about 2h 20 min. I did 2h 46 min I just wanted to gauge how far I was behind the winners.

Anyone knows who won this race that happened on 22/02/2014 in Bloemfontein? What was the winners time?

That really sucks. My one friend was hijacked there and shot in the leg. The dude is ok now. I was just fortunate to have cycled that route for two years constantly without problems.

Did not except so many replies in one day. As I started the post I will give my best times. Burger cycle tour 2010 (98km) in 3h 27 min and 2011 Argus in 3h 32 min, this was also my first Argus. Not great times but I for a novice I think they are ok.

That's not my intention. Would just be interesting to know who is fast. Maybe get some advice and tips from the guys who are actually fast. I am not that fast but I keep struggling with injuries.

So who is the fastest guy and girl on the hub? I am talking of people who are not Pro riders. Post some of your times from any of the well known races in SA. You can even brag if you want to :-)

That's a pity. I am also thinking about getting cyclocross wheels as where I currently live I cannot train on my hybrid and my MTB sucks so I do not enjoy riding that very much.

The shifters are deore and the rear derailleur is deore LX

Just figured out how to post a picture properly so I added my photo again so that it displays correctly. Mine is not as nice as Gummibears' hybrid but it still rides quite nice

He is referring to me when I said that my wrist pains too much when I am riding with normal handlebars.

Hier is my hybrid. Dit is n raleigh RC 3000. Dit het n Shimano 105 Hollowtech crank en 105 front derailleur. Die shifters en rear deraileur is shimano deore LX. Rims is Mavic Ksyrium Equippe. Weeg so 9.4kg. Gaan nog onder die 3 ure aan die Argus ry op dit:-)

I would like to know if there are any other cyclists on the hub who ride a hybrid. Please give your specs,post some photos or just anything you have to say about hybrids. I personally ride a hybrid as I have problems with my wrist after an operation so I have pain when I ride a normal road cycle because of the bend of the bars.

I really cannot remember the Docs name. I think it's Charl or Christo. Its in Andringa str. he's logo is red with some writing. I will try to find out.
