    Garmin

Someone lost a Garmin at the Satellite Classic recently. If it is yours, contact Rob, 072 305 8522. You will have to identify it
  2. Apparently this info was incorrectly 'tweeted' about. The guy lost his chain!
  3. The results were posted to their website while the Racetec guys were still onsite at Tarlton!! Professionals!!
  4. I am sure this topic will never end.......... saturday morning, nice and easy road ride, through Krugersdorp, out to Randfontein. So, stopped at a robot, as the robot was RED; next minute, a 'cyclist' rides past us, through the intersection. he was not wearing club kit, BUT the next guy was in club kit! Straight through the red light. Okay, so I thought, "IDIOT", and left it at that. the very next huge intersection, both ignore the red light, again. I left it at that, and we passed them going into Randfontein. Another huge intersection, RED light, both sail between us, through the intersection. so we shouted, and got the 'Honorary Salute'! Now I saw RED, and chased them down. I asked smiling chop if he was more important than anyone else, and got rudely told to 'F$%^ off, and put my nose elsewhere'. Obviously this chop does not care about anyone else. Okay, so the guy in club kit, on an Orbea, well done. Your club, if you still belong, is being mailed.... In hindsight, I should have taken a pic of the 2 chops, but what pathetic souls!! R souls.........
  5. Um, as race organiser, we are told to cough up calender fees. Then closer to the time, provide the race route, categories, and prize monies. Then just cough up the money, again, again, and again. Who benefits from the portion of the race entry that goes to CSA, or CGC? Not the Licenced riders, officials, or Jack Bloggs!! The sanctioning consists of 'have you paid your calender fee?'. And CSA do not 'seem' to give a rats about anyone other than events in the Western Cape... NEXT?
  6. so, as just average Joe, that enjoys cycling, it is advisable to join CSA, to avoid the pain of taking out a day licence? But, for the mommy's and daddy's, and 'fun rider', licencing, or affiliation is a right royal pain in the a$$.
  7. does anyone know about an accident that happened yesterday morning on Long Road, Greymont?? This is the road that comes from Delarey, heads towards Northcliff corner...... Apparently a cyclist was killed along here, and I know of a guy that commutes along that way. Hope it was not Bernard!!
  8. previous CSA president, Greg Till, hinted at reviving the TOER... I think it would be brilliant to have such a toer around the good old 'ar es of ay'! I would actually go so far as even saying that I would assist in organising it, but think my bosses might have a slight problem with me taking time out.
