I believe I saw 10km and 1km to go signs at winelands. Though if you're moving fast its tough to see

Anyone have an idea if there will be pictures of the event? I dont remember seeing any photographers Also what do you rate the time conversion is to ctct assuming similar conditions? A 3 hour time at winelands = 3 hour 15 ctct?

I'm not disagreeing with you that the people who managed to hold the wheel 'possibly deserve to get the better seeding' , my issue with it is that they wouldn't have gotten the same time without the help of their much stronger friends who do not belong in that category. I'm not trying to single these guys / you out, it's the attitude and inability to see it from the perspective of the riders it could be affecting that rubs me the wrong way.

It comes across as a bit contradictory to say `It's just a fun ride and we're here to enjoy ourselves, but we're also going to hammer away at 40km/h to boost our teammates seeding` If I was in the D group looking to enjoy a race with people around my level, I'd be a bit bleak having my batch blown into pieces within the first 10km because a group of MUCH stronger (not even a little, based on the finish times) riders dropped down categories to get their friends a better time. I was giving it some thought and i'm not sure what the organizers can realistically do about it without impacting people with more genuine intentions. Oh well🤷‍♂️

Hi all, looking for road group rides around cape town (leaving from atlantic seaboard area) as im based in oranjezicht. Preferably long endurance rides on weekends (or weekdays now in december holidays) and more intermediate side. I dont mind drop rides. Im only really aware of the weekday morning rides by ecc and gearchange. Tried the usual google and strava search but not finding much with actual information and most seem inactive.

Looking to upgrade my scott speedster 30 2021 (sora 2x9 groupset) to a high end road bike. Budget is around 130k. Preferably lower. I mostly prepare for longer single stage races and dont race crits. Seeing trek madone slr 7, supersix evo etc around this price. Any advice or suggestions? I see 2025 bikes are coming in - should i wait a few months for some price drops for the 2024 models? Im 1.79m tall male. So probably size 54 ish. Western cape cape town
