I've never been to NF. Just curious about the safety there. Someone said to me a while ago it's better to go there in a group of at least four riders as people have been knocked off their bikes and had them stolen a few times. Anyone have some more info... as I said never been there, but with the variety of activities there I'd like to go sometime

This weekend I recently had a near miss with some cyclists on Beyers Naude Dr North of the N14. This part of road doesn't have a cycle lane or a yellow lane, but some groups keep on driving side by side. I really try to drive slow on that road over weekends but there are so many people that don't and it's really a big danger.

Another newbie question. Do you mean washing your bike with a high pressure cleaner is not good? Because yesterday I've started for the first time to spray my chain and cassette with clean green and rinse with high pressure machine. The hight pressure water seems like the best way to get all the mud off the bike, especially in those places you can't reach and a normal running hose wont take off once the mud has dried.

Beerboy, as long as the letters are the correct size by law you can have a circular plate if you feel like it... think the minimum 50mm but I stand corrected.

I have a quick question for the people using the Thule Xpress carrier, as illustrated below, that fits directly on your tow bar. I want to buy this carrier but I drive a Toyota Fortuner and I'm worried about the distance between the inside bike's handlebars and the back window.
