  1. thanks I will check it out this evening!
  2. Hi guys, looking to upgrade my old XT RDR to one of the new ones. <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" /> What is the difference between the M770, M771 & the shadow M772? Running a std 9 spd setup with 3 rings up front so will go for the SGS, but which model? The bike is a hard tail Any recommendations?
  3. Hi all, Having bought the latest MBR magazine, and looking at probikekit.com, even with a strong pound and postage the stuff is CHEAP! I want to find out what the customs charges are on imported bike bits bought overseas. Anyone know? Want to hear the good and the bad stories! thanks
  4. H All, Saturday was like riding in the UK! 3 pairs of socks, 3 tops and a wind shell! Well at least the sun was shining! I took the road bike out of the car and put in the MTB and spent 1h30 discovering Northern farm! It was great appart from the wind ramming the fresh stench of fertilizer up your nose - actually better than deisel fumes! Ok next Saturday I WILL ride with cycle lab, and maybe even join as I am getting tired of riding on my own. Regarding that Kyalami route - I agree that was a bad idea. Ali, Ill be dropping you an email. Cheers
  5. Greetings all, I will be riding with Cycle Lab on Saturday, Keen to ride in a group for safety reasons due to what happened in the Vaal triangle last Sunday.... Have a red and white specialized with white helmet, keen to meet up? PS That route profile looks good, but these JHB roads.... how safe are they really?
  6. Thanks for the info. The south is too far if you mean the south of JHB. But might make the trip now and then for variation. I am keen to start the group rides myself, there must be some amatures/ novices/returning riders in the north who are keen to get out there and ride especially with "summer classics" just around the corner. Now is a good time to get the base miles in!
  7. Greetings all, I am new to this forum, and to Gauteng. Also need to get used to the altitude here! Is there anyone who is keen to start regular training rides on either Saturday or Sunday mornings (or both) from Cedar Square (Cedar Rd, 4Ways) out to Kyalami and back - Just an idea of a route and totally open to suggestions. I am also keen on MTB so looking for training partners for laps of Northern Farm. I am just getting back into the sport after 6 months off, so will be keen for slow long rides starting from 40 then 60 and build to 100k. Short term goals are the 94.7 and keen on the dome to dome as a training event. Anyone in the area keen? No need to be expert, just need to love riding and take it easy attitude...
