  1. The set is R2000. I see there are a number of retailers asking around R1200 per wheel Image as example.
  2. Thanks for the info. That helps a lot with context.
  3. Does anybody have experience or knowledge of the Z-Tech brand? A wheelset crossed my path, superficially they look OK and are very well priced. I am a bit reluctant to pull the trigger though as low price usually means low quality. I would appreciate any insights. Thanks!
  4. Thanks for the info peeps. I will make direct contact.
  5. Hi guys I am looking for a service provider in the Pretoria area that can help me complete a paint job. The project: I am modernising a small 26er Giant Anthem for use by my son. I have already completed most of the work. Sanding, priming and colour coat is done. I only need help applying the clear coat. I am wanting to apply durable 2K paint and already bought the paint. I am not comfortable applying it myself since I am unsure of appropriate respiratory safety equipment and procedure. Anybody in Pretoria, perhaps northern Johannesburg keen to take on this project, or point me in the right direction of a good spray painting service provider or PPE supplier I will appreciate it. Thanks. Image shows the current state of the project. Only clear coat is outstanding.
  6. Thanks! I checked their website, there was no mention of angleset, I will give them a call.
  7. Hi all I am looking to update an old 26er with a slacker head angle. Does anybody know where I can find a angle headset? I am aware of some import options but would prefer to buy locally if possible. Thanks
  8. I second Titan Racing I spent quite a bit of time in bikeshops over December looking for a 24" as Christmas gift. My son had outgrown his 20". If you can splurge a bit, the Titan Racing Team is probably the best 24" bike on the market at relatively sane price level. One thing that struck me when doing Christmas bike hunting is it seems like the entire industry drastically lowered the bar for what you get for your money. When I bought my son's 20" bike 3 years ago it came with hydro formed frame, internal cabling, hydrolic disks etc. For the relative same money now, you get mechanical brakes, coils spring fork etc..
  9. Hi all Does anyone know where to buy Five Ten shoes in South Africa? I am looking for a retailer in Pretoria area as first choice, but anywhere in South Africa will suffice. I bought a pair a few days ago from CRC, and the fit was dissapointing. I would love to find a local outlet so I can at least try out for size before purchasing. Thanks in advance
