Is the hardtail the one with the seat much higher than the handlebar? I'd prefer it the other way around.

Hi all. Very new to cycling and want to get something for a bit of recreational riding. Mostly with my son (6yo). Ideally I'd love a bmx style bike but I'm 2m tall (99kg) and this has been hard to find. Would I possibly have to build one? I'm told maybe a dirt jump bike would be better, as there's more chance to get a bigger size. Basically I'd prefer a hardy single speed bike. I'm thinking 26inch wheels but with high enough handles for me. It might be a pipe dream and I'd end up getting an mtb but I'd like to check first.
