  1. Prime View mudfest! Was a lot of fun with a lot of cleaning afterwards.
  2. I know about this one. Apart from the price (yes, I am a cheapskates), the cable just looks like it will catch somewhere, perhaps on the bike rack etc. Dont like the look. might consider one of these two or similar: https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/dropper-seat-posts/630171/x-fusion-manic-dropper-post https://bikehub.co.za/classifieds/item/dropper-seat-posts/625117/syncros-25-dropper-150mm-travel-316
  3. Thanks for all the replies. No surprises on the variety of them as well 😁 I am not worried about warranty claims etc, none left anyway. I have taken note about the stresses and issues that can be caused, specifically with the heat build up - I think the safest option (apart from not doing it) will be to start with a small hole and work your way up, with a round file if possible. Then also to make sure its as water tight as you can get it, perhaps get a rubber grommet for the hole. It will also be on the bottom of the seatpost, don't want to change anything on the BB area. Once I decide to pull the trigger I will post pics here 😀
  4. Currently exploring the idea of getting a dropper post for my 2019 Norco Charger 1. It seems that external dropper posts have gone out of fashion, and getting an external routed one is not a viable option - there simply are not and the new ones are out of my budget. So my question thus - I have seen a few nice second hand droppers in the Hub, but all internally routed. This means I will need to drill a hole somewhere for the cable to enter the seatpost tube - the routing from the handle bars to the BB basically will be running externally. Any advice will be appreciated
  5. Tour de Langebaan. Cause WCNP cannot accept card taps when loadshedding is on 🙄 Worked out well in the end!
  6. Think I should make a nice big canvas of it
  7. Dramatic sunset cruise with my wife
  8. A bit of Langebaan
  9. Would be nice to know how much funds where raised for this good cause.
  10. Buddy and I did the green route today. Quite enjoyed it. I particularly like the section through the old bunkers. Really cool. Single track could use some work - a few deep ruts that is just waiting for a pedal strike. But there is plenty of features to keep you interested. We did encounter a massive veld fire though. Had to keep an eye on it the whole time, luckily no incidents! New definition of fire road
  11. So did the full 30km route (which turned out to be 33.89km) with 618m of elevation Gian. I can honestly say I enjoyed it a lot. Was it not for my horrible fitness levels, I probably would have enjoyed even more. Regardless, they are doing a great job. Just enough of everything not to be a pain. Good variety. Could maybe to with a bit more single-track. I was amazed at how large the whole property is. Drove past it for the last 8 years and always thought about the landmarks you can see. Also interesting what they get up too around the place, not only looking after prisoners. The one climb up to the Kyalami Castle look out point is was a real challenge for me, more 1.5km more or less. Not so steep, just never ending it felt like. You can build up some speed on some of the wide gravel road downhills. The flow track is impressive, for my novice skills anyway. I think I saw something about a short cut? Over the river? Otherwise you need to do 27km before you get there. I was quite tired by then. Everyone I cycled past where very friendly. Will do it again
  12. Tried out Asidlale today. The views from the top are worth it
  13. Bought them second hand from the same guy I bought the bike. Night and day difference compared to the stock pedals!
  14. Ride around Langebaan and into West Coast National Park
  15. Jeep track around Langebaan
