  1. Sent me some data files and we can add them to the testing process and include compatibility, we would like to support all devices and the more device data we have from different devices the better. My email is easpin@gmail.com
  2. Thanks for every bodies interest, we have received allot of feedback from fellow Hubbers via email As a second phase yes, but once the application is up and running, that should be a fast addition. We are very keen on hearing from every body what their needs are and how an application such as this could be helpful for other solutions as well.
  3. No worries, cheating when it comes to vitality points etc is incredibly easily when you consider that the HRM files are text based files that you can edit in any text editor plus there's lots of application online already to upload HRM files to Polar's site. But for all those with Garmin devices that don't cheat and would like to earn those points in the lawful manner can't, there's ways of doing so already by using different applications but that takes to much time to do. We are aiming at providing a application that will take binary fit files from your Garmin device and best case upload them directly into Polar's site with the least amount of interactions for the user. (Also removing the ability to upload fraudulent HRM files, as fit files are Binary and not as easy as HRM files to change) Plus if you are a owner of a Garmin 800 for instance lots of sites don't yet support it i.e Runkeeper, and uploading all your data to Garmin Connect and downloading it again to upload on a 3rd party site such as Runkeeper is to much of a hassle for most. Who else would love such an application?
  4. Sample files can be emailed to easpin@gmail.com Thanks
  5. Hi fellow Hubbers We are developing an application to read FIT files from Garmin devices (such as edge 500 and 800) into Polar HRM files that can be used on Polars training site and other web sites that don't analyse garmin FIT files yet. The added benefit and original reasoning behind the application is to be able to get vitality point with a Garmin HRM if you don't own a Polar HRM device. We are looking for HRM sample files from any and all Polar devices, if anybody would be so kind to sent sample files together with the name of the device to easpin@gmail.com it would truely be appreciated. Garmin FIT files are also welcome. About 10 or so of any one device would be enough for us now at the moment Once the application is completed and working well with a multitude of devices we will make it available to everybody. Thanks again for everyone's assistance on this so far. Regards
