  1. Sorry, just realised my cell number is wrong. It is 0828524540. email graham.j.rogoff@gmail.com

  3. Not recommended. A bike depreciates faster than the rand during a miners strike. You will land up paying factors more for the bike than it is wotth when you are finally free of debt. I agree with the other guys, if you don't have the cash don't do it. Rather open another bank account and do some forced savings then by for cash. In the meantime, build yourself a single speed. Cheap to run, better street cred, and just as quick as an s-works over most terrain. Proved that at W2W last weekend.
  4. I have decided gears and suspension are naf. I just did the Wines2Whales adventure on my rigid On-One SS and it's the most fun I have ever had at a stage race. Quicker than nearly everyone uphill (with some vasbyt) and not that much slower down. Very satisfying passing all those R60k s-works and scalpal carbon 29er's on a bike worth less than their front forks. Once SS gets in your blood you are hooked.
  5. Will try catch one on my single speed this weekend. My rigid fork will give me the advantage. ;-)
  6. You can try Simon Lawson in Morningside. He is a sports chiro and I have had good results with him. You can reach him on 011 784-0052.
  7. Chaps, we are all entitled to make our own choices and voice our opinions. My post was not an attack or criticism of your beliefs or views but merely my feelings after receiving extremely poor service. Am I wrong in making my case after not being successful in getting resolution from Juan after multiple attempts. Trust me when I say I gave him more than enough opportunity to make good.
  8. Interesting to see you have kept some of your customers happy. I for one have been disappointed and certainly don't believe you have given everyone the attention they deserve. My advice is to pay more attention to admin by getting back to people and sorting out post service issues when they do arise. Sticking your head in the sand will not make your problems go away. Although I will never use you again I wish you luck in picking up your game.
  9. The ICG group rides from the Total garage in Illovo (on Rivonia Road) at 5:00 Tues to Fri.
  10. I had the same problem with a crack in the exact same place but opted to get a replacement. It took Probike over two months to source one from Europe which was rather frustrating (and expensive). I have since replaced the bike as it was starting to get tired and I was concerned about parts availability going forward. Given my experience I suggest you try welding it first and see if it holds. Note that the MC and RC have different geometry and pivot placements.
