This wasnt a race it was hike a bike will never do it again did a 7,7km/h ave on a 24 km race pushed the bike more than riding it

During the 2013 DC in Swellendam one of our team mates Barend van Staden of the Randmark SOS team lost control of his bike on the decent in Tradouws pass resulting him in colliding with a wall .He was seriously injured and was taken to the hospital in Worchester .After a few days he was diagnosed with Lock in Syndrome caused by a burst vein in his brain and was a quadriplegic (spelling) .It is with great sadness to inform you that he passed away this morning The Randmark club lost one of his young members in this festive season.RIP Barend we will miss you. Randmark cycling.

Seker die swakste race op die kalender amper geen marshalls nie swak gemerkte paaie baie spyt ek het die race gedoen sal hom defnitief nie weer doen nie . Ek wonder hoe gaan hulle die tye uitwerk want bitter min het die volle 50km gedoen ek het op 42km geeindig .Die roete was 'n lekker tawwe roete net jammer die organisasie het dit opgeneuk

The 30 km route is the same as last year flat and fast the first 30 km of the 55km route is the same then you do another 25 km loop that's not flat lekker hill or 2 with moerse downhill section .
