  1. Wanting to ride the DC as team has withdrawn. 6.5 - 8 hrs would suit. Any team out there looking for a replacement rider - Would be appreciated if you could pm me. From Eastern Cape but willing to join any team. Obviously will cover my own costs. Thanks
  2. I ordered something as well and must compliment them - 24 hrs later in my hands - Great service.
  3. What he did was "uncool". Theres nothing stopping him from posting here. In fact I am sure most would like to hear excactly why he felt it necessary to do what he did. More uncool is that the hearing took place with only one party present - the fouled rider was not given the opportunity to present his side.
  4. I have seen the official report regarding the outcome of the hearing. The first charge being the handle bar pulling incident - PLEA - NOT GUILTY Now for goodness sake this itself is even more reason to come down harder on him, as highlighted in JAVA001 post " perform and reform" where he had an opportunity to redeem himself a bit. Insteed he denies this, after videos and frame by frame photos show excacly what he did. He shows no remorse for his actions which tells me he WILL do this again. And the outcome 1 month ban - so there you go guys , you can pull another riders bars causing him to crash, defy the rider safety at all times UCI rule and all you will get is a 1 month ban. Brilliant CSA.
  5. The only thing this guy is good at is riding someone elses wheel. If you get the opportunity to watch any of his races you will never see him on the front - but then maybe you should not waste your time - always just sucking wheel - and this is supposed to be talent - ha ha what a joke.
  6. Indeed - 2 months it is. A damn disgrace. CSA have now set a president. The queue waiting to return the favour is long.
  7. Imagine if this rider did this in an International event, because this is where he is heading for. Bet we would be proud of him. Is this the type of behavior we want to put out there??? The drongo - thought you had a good long look at the photos -
  8. Swiss - agree with you totally - we have a bunch ride each morning, which consists of many differnet clubs. Would never leave a woman alone on this ride - We read about incidents basically everyday - look after your fellow cyclists.
  9. indeed - East Cape cycling took major flack regarding their poor planning for the SA's - now what -
  10. absolutely ludicrous to say the least - thought that this would have been sorted out after the SA's - what an embarrassment. But wait there is more - SA motorists do not give a damn - taxi are lawless and do just what they want - this is why our cyclists are unsafe on the roads - its a "stuff you" mindset - it also highlights the level of competence from our traffic department.
  11. Its a sad situation and even more so frustrating having pointed out certain major safety concerns regarding the route. The local riders/clubs were not asked to assist or offer opinion.Business was never engaged - There was ample opportunity to make better use of the double carriage sections which would have eliminated the safety aspect on these sections. Locals know that the back road to the varsity is blocked up every morning and that the road network in that area does no favour smooth traffic flow. I share your disappointed and frustration knowing how many hours of training, preparation and money spent to participate in this premier event.
