  1. Aaa.... that makes sense. Thanks. What cassette will you recommend since he has a 52 front ring and 10 spd derailleur.
  2. Thanks AndraZA. Please pardon my ignorance: What do you mean with “A 52x14 is the biggest gear allowed. He can go 50x13 as well” As you can see we are complete novices.
  3. My youngster have been told by an seasoned rider that he needs to change his cassette or else he will hurt his legs. He is 15 years old but a good overall athlete. Compete on National level in Biathlon, Triathlon, Duathlon and is an seasoned swimmer, including open water 3 and 5 km events. We are new to cycling and he is riding a Raleigh Limited , with full 105 (latest) group set. His current cassette is 11 / 25. Can some of the Pro’s please shed some light?
  4. Yes, it is Mr. Amos Senior (age 54). He traveled in the same direction as the truck, don't know how he ended up under it. Could be one of many ways, but still very tragic.I was called to ask if it was not my son!! He cycles the same time/and was in a bad accident in October last year. I was with his son and his brother in law this morning. Please pray for strength during this testing time. Rest In Peace.
  5. My million dollar question is. WHY DOES LUBE GO BLACK AND STICKY? Is it due to accumulation of dirt. ( not mentioning those that contain graphite, which is black when applying ) Motor engine oil does it due the carbon collected from exhaust gasses. Are the oils that “stay clear” for longer not then better? ( collecting less dirt?) Eish. so much to learn!
