  1. Thank you. You guys have treated me as family from day one I joined. And I do feel like part of the Bikehub family. Thank you!
  2. 😢 moes nou eers ā€˜n traan wegpik. Baie dankie hiervoor. Beteken so baie. En ek is seker FranƧois het ā€˜n breĆ« smile op sy gesig as hy die nommerplaat moet sien. Dankie. Sterkte en geniet dit.
  4. Thank you. I agree. The thread should (if possible) always be visible. It is special. Thank you so much. I’ll remember that and I know FranƧois would have appreciated to see all the comfort and support everyone has given me. In Afrikaans we say: ā€œhoe eet jy ā€˜n olifant? Happie vir happieā€. So that is exactly what I’m trying to do. Some days are better than others. I believe once I’m back at the office to keep my mind occupied, it might help. But it's not easy. It’s one of the most difficult things to ever go through and I don’t wish it upon anyone. I’m so sorry about your neighbour. I’m at a loss of words at the moment 😢
  5. Wow 😢 Thank you so, so much. We have made some special memories at Cowhouse. I really appreciate it.
  6. Hi all, Please see the link to the full video of the service, should anyone like to watch it: https://adobe.ly/3p97dR7 Thank you xx
  7. And I used this photo even on the funeral pamphlet being so proud of him.
  8. I remember that evening so clear. He was pushing through and wow. I am so proud how he always tried going a bit further, climbing a bigger uphill etc. And he asked me to please take a picture because he would love to share the experience with others of him on a trainer, because he couldn’t do it at Cowhouse or any other place anymore. Proud of him always.
  9. Thank you so much. Means a lot to me. Will give a shout once everything is better. I have flat tyres on the bike. So first need to sort that out before anything else.
  10. Thank you. Struggling a bit getting Zwift working, but I think I might know who you are. Thanks for being available to help.
  11. So I hit the lowest of low days today. I thought I had my worst days, apparently not. Anyway… I will have to start trying picking up the pieces again. And one thing I have to do, really want to do, is to also continue riding. I want to do it for Francois. To do something he adored doing. It’s been so long since I’ve been on my bike. So I know between his Scott and my Titan there were big differences. When I’m ready, will anyone perhaps be able to give me some sort of guidance how to do the trainer thing with my bike? I haven’t been on the trainer as we kept Francois bike on it. So I have no clue where to start.
  12. Ek weet nie eens wat wie kon sien of hoeveel daarvan nie. Tegnologie werk nie altyd saam nie. Maar daar was backup darem. Sal dit ook graag self nog wil kyk. Ek laat weet sodra dit reg is. Solank niemand my sien sit en tjank nie. Ekt redelik non stop gehuil.
  13. The streaming didn’t go exactly according to plan. But they are fixing it. For those who still would like to join the link, I’ll post it once all is in order.
  14. www.facebook.com/groups/francoishugomarais This is done via Facebook live. I’ll receive a separate link only tomorrow for those who don’t have Facebook.
  15. Thank you so much for your help. I managed to book with a videographer to do streaming for me. I know zoom would probably work, but prefer leaving the technical stuff to others who would know how to operate it. Will post a link for the streaming once I received it.
  16. Okay… found a photographer who might do the streaming. Waiting for the final arrangements but it seems that I might have one less worry.
  17. Wednesday morning 10am in Centurion. Found some leads of people who might assist with live streaming. Just need to make some calls.
  18. It’s not about obligation. There are people who would love to attend but are currently self isolating. It’s people who have helped us so much and would’ve wanted them there as well.
  19. So my camera can only record 30 minutes at a time. Not my day today 😢
  20. I’ve tried it myself. Don’t think it’s that complicated but I wouldn’t be able to do the streaming thing myself. …. Sad smile …. Wouldn’t say fun.
  21. I am struggling quite a bit with the live streaming idea I had. Most of the people who could’ve assisted, are already on leave. My thoughts now, are to record the service on my camera and afterwards I can upload a video. For those to watch in their own time who are interested. Not sure if the platform would work for an hour video though. Otherwise I can upload the video somewhere on social media and post a link to it.
