Thanks Matty,
Apparently the bike was serviced not too long ago. remove the lowers and do as you suggested anyhow
there are 2 allenkey bolts at the bottom just loosen those and give the lowers a little tap with a rubber mallet and it should come off..
just make sure you take the brake calliper off and the little hook thing that holds the brake hose..
looks like your seals have gone..its not worth taking it in for a service as that would cost more than what the fork is worth..just take the lowers off and give the insides a good clean and grease the seals again..then it should be fine..
my vote is look second had you can pick up a reba for R2.5k in mint condition..and thats waay lighter than any of the above forks
and that falls into cost effective how again?
But 2 tubes and a bottle of sealant costs the same as a two pre-filled tubes. Good idea non the less if you want to to it to a road bike tube.
I think sum1 doing this will use the tubes they currently have in their bike and just buy sealant and those pre-filled tubes are ***! Cheap pink raleigh slime from makro and game + tubes = amazing I have been using this for 4 years now never a puncture
Like when you put dirty things like derailleurs and suspension forks on? Of course it gets heavy
well here on the hub before dirt gets a chance to settle on things like that they are upgraded for more awesomeness .. others like myself that cant afford to do that have to wash out bikes a lot so that it can at least look shiny .
Dude, you need a mtb/road bike split... They go through different things.
Not looking to be spacific just general ..
When it starts getting heavy.
haha isnt that when u wash you bike with lighter goodies?

Feel free to comment
same as big h but make sure not to make it too tight
just while on the topic sorry to go off topic but for example if your frame breaks after 3 years and it has a 5 year warrantee, do you need your pop to get the frame replaced?
goooi in washing machine ... with omo..works every time..with all shoes..i throw my rugby boots, soccer boots, hockey boots and cricket shoes all in there and doesnt damage them..just make sure the shoes are rinsed off properly before you hang them up to dry
washing poweder ftw..
on the topic does any1 have some old tubless tires laying around that they dont want ?? i want to do a conversion to get the feel of it even if they are worn out it doesnt matter.
go tubeless! if cant do that get raleigh pink slime(at game its like R60) and put that stuff in! i have been using it for 5 years now and never one flat!! touch wood only time i got a a flat was when i rode through glass and it slashed my tyre other than that never.
look second hand ..on the hub you can pick up a reba or sid for that price in excelent condition
i had same problem the disk is rubbing on the edge of the caliper mount..just loosten your caliper(the 2 bolts on the fork bracket) then re allign the calipers so it doesnt hit the rotor..try that.. it worked for me
put a tube in..
sexy!
you can get the gold hope rotor for R288 i think which is much better looking imo and much lighter
