  1. Well spotted. For the record - nothing against Goaties (pun intended)
  2. I also believe the hub needs at least some minor moderation to remove topics that are deemed unsuitable. Or simply stopping people from being able to post further.
  3. There are vehicles that do it automatically. Besides, certain sections don't have shoulder, eg. the R317. And if they close certain sections, those won't need to be done either...
  4. I really appreciate this suggestion... We had 2 punctures and a sliced tyre from the roadside stuff! How do we get these ideas to the organisers??
  5. Sets out the details on a proper satellite map: http://therunningcycle.wordpress.com/2010/11/17/double-century-route-201-9k/ With all due respect to the other map, it's just not possible to follow properly.
  6. What you say is true, but it's not about getting teams here, having them close together; you won't get the sponsorship mileage required!
  7. Your calves will probably get sore when you run up a hill, as hill work affects them the most - making them sore. I am guessing the treadmill doesn't have significant hill elavation or you don't use it particularly much. The socks are supposed to restrict the bloodflow, just like ice would.
  8. You need to do the Argus Cycle tour or the 94.7 in under 3 hours to qualify for Killarney. They tow you in the slipstream behind the V8's
  9. Gonna go out on my bike now and do some research...
  10. If they didn't do something positive, people with DVT (Deep Vein Thrombosis) would not wear them! I used them for a niggling calf injury. Have you heard of R.I.C.E.?
  11. Good luck with your training Gonna be sore whatever you do. My advice is REST...
