  1. Thanks man, yeah that's kind of where I am at now. let's also not forget how expensive tyres have gotten nowadays
  2. Quick Question, while riding on our amazingn roads (sarcasm) I scratched my tubeless tyre’s sidewall, sealant sealed the hole instantly. Got home took the tyre off, noticed on the inside the actual puncture was a tiny pin prick, but the outside it is quite scrapped up. See picture for reference. I patched the inside with a patch for good measure, but is it safe to ride, do I bin the tyre or carry on?
  3. Hi All, I am looking for a freehub like this, it is a 30 tooth 6 Pawl Freehub. for Shimano HG Cassette, it is a KT Hub from a set of Concept Speed carbon wheels. If anyone has one laying around that they are willing to part with chat to me, happy to pay.
  4. Any group rides around Hillcrest Kloof area in December? Will be coming down so would love to join a group in the area for the time being.
  5. I'll second Naked insurance, I crashed last year, damaged both wheels, handlebars, broken shifters. Quite a lot of damage, within 5 days all my components and wheels were replaced and I had my bike back. Cost-effective insurance and you don't have to deal with all the insurance cold calling.
  6. Thanks for your help Martin, much appreciated
  7. Thanks Martin, So If I pickup a newer Tiagra Crankset and replace the BB with a 68mm thread i should be good to go? Obviously I'd just need a new bottom bracket tool for the Hollowtech bracket?
  8. Hi Guys, I picked up an older Raleigh RC3000, and I am busy fixing it up. I want to replace the crank set and BB (as the BB is quite old). What type of BB is on this bike, i am guessing this is an Octalink Bottom Bracket (but I could be wrong), which crankset and Bottom bracket would be the best to replace these ones with? Sorry if this is a stupid question, Bottom Brackets and Cranks are quite intimidating to figure out.
  9. "Pierre Vlok" tried again with me. he looks at wanted ads and says his mate referred me to him. He also Sends you his ID number to make you feel better, but the oke is a scammer.. +27 64 665 5711. watch out for him. Luckily I googled and checked this forum first before dealing with him.
