  1. Good day. I understand that Mavic has withdrawn from the South African Market. I am in need of the specific brake pads for this wheelset as it has a rough brake surface and use very specific pads. These pads are made by Swiss top but I am really struggling to get a hold of these. Can someone please advise.
  2. Thank you very much shaper. Very useful info that.
  3. Hi there Aurora I currently have the same issue. As far as i know you can only run the Mavic specific brake pads on them. As far as I know it is Swisstop pads but I stand to be corrected. My first set was wearing very quickly and I need to replace them, espicially the back wheel.
  4. Thanks Murrob. I will look at the frontwheel direction tonight. I have done around 500km on them already and the back wheel is squeals like a pig. Front wheel only occasionally.
  5. Hi Lance I did get the Mavic pads installed that came with the wheelset. It is branded Mavic on the pads as well as Swisstop is also branded on the pads.
  6. Good day all I recently purchased a set of the Ksyrium Pro Exalith wheels. They are very nice wheels but are extremely noisy upon braking, especially when you break hard. Does this get better with time as the brake pads settle in?
  7. Hi all I would like to get some suggestions, I would like to upgrade my roadbike wheels, I were riding on a set of Mavic Cosmic Carbon SLR's 50mm with aluminum braking surface. Unfortunately they cracked inside the wheel on the aluminum surface between the spoke holes, this was only visible when the rim tape was taken off. They are no longer under warranty. It seems like getting wheels that are deep section with aluminum braking surface is very difficult. Any suggestions?
