  1. No I understand Fully I wasn't attacking you you or being mean if it came off that way I was merely saying because you say you ride threw evrything and over everything as in I mean I get that I love my trek x-caliber and my wheels is the the things I service most and hubs because I ride it like I stole it and ones a year I do a complete tear down of the bike at TREK to regrease evrything and what so on,and obviously I do the rockshox services on the hours to retain warranty.
  2. How did you manage that?because a Year without a service on a bike wow I ride 200-220Km a week and mine is serviced evry 600km to keep it tip top shape even my fork take them in evry 50 hours-100 hours and 150 and then rebuild in 200 are you sure you can even remember hoe your bike performed the day you got it? I am sure if you do a full service you will notice a huge improvement on your bike.
  3. Ja ek hoor jou but like you said then I keep taking it back easy it's my money not there's but ja then I will just keep getting a new fork evry 10 hours then buy myself a new one when it's warranty is done.
  4. You should see the new one it's not discoloring its marks scratches
  5. You know I told them specifically I am willing to pay in the x amount for an better fork and they won't allow this and yes my brother has a scott scale 980 it's a good bike never given problems and it has lower end components also I didn't buy it from cape cycles I bought it from Trek Lynnwood in pretoria.
  6. No I haven't as I always support TREK Lynnwood service my bike there whatever the bycicle mechanic Johan was and has always just been nice and the thing is I like my X-Caliber for me it's a decent and lekker bycicle like I mentioned previously I do have another trek and it's seen over 10k since new and it has zero wear or the fork and that's a even a lower end than the judy its a santour xct30 but hey it's been very good to me.
  7. No I don't unfortunately but I came home now had to finish some welding work, and I noticed both stanchions now is showing wear left and right side 1st fork it was less but now I see on the replacement fork its even worse I rode 12km then the rain was coming so I bailed next day I did 20km then again rain was a problem yesterday sunday 14th January I did 40km and came back cleaned the bike and everything so between the 2 forks it did 180km total and thos is how it looks like.
  8. You know I was aiming for the fuel ex 5 or the top fuel 5 but then again decided against it because I like Hardtail bycicles and service wise a Hardtail suits my buget better its sad to see even the top fuel has it and I kinda liked it.
  9. Exactly my thoughts there shouldn't be scratches or marks nothing.
  10. Well We'll they are gonna send it to SRAM now and we will see but after that I am done gonna if it keeps happening and you are not willing to help a loyal customer I always buy there service my bike there etc..
  11. This ain't the point it's not supposed to happen imagine seeing it a year later fucktup like I never really cared about my stuff and the fact that I am willing to pay in an X amount for a better fork and they say no that can't happen on a warranty claim to note also its the 2nd fork brand new heck even the X-Caliber is brand new bought it like December 2days after I got *** with it.
  12. So I got a new fork from Trek same problem again after 3 rides and they also said I can't upgrade the fork on a warranty claim either, so basically we are gonna go back and forth till the warranty expires because now again it's going back to SRAM.
  13. Ja nee then they are just gonna keep replacing my fork till they service it properly before handing it over to me ain't just gonna leave it there no way they can fix there ***.
  14. So some poeple already informed me of that thank you,but again why doesn't a bike shop perform a basic lower service then when a customer buys a new bike to make sure it's ready to go for the customer I mean it's TREK it's a huge company.
