  1. No I understand Fully I wasn't attacking you you or being mean if it came off that way I was merely saying because you say you ride threw evrything and over everything as in I mean I get that I love my trek x-caliber and my wheels is the the things I service most and hubs because I ride it like I stole it and ones a year I do a complete tear down of the bike at TREK to regrease evrything and what so on,and obviously I do the rockshox services on the hours to retain warranty.
  2. How did you manage that?because a Year without a service on a bike wow I ride 200-220Km a week and mine is serviced evry 600km to keep it tip top shape even my fork take them in evry 50 hours-100 hours and 150 and then rebuild in 200 are you sure you can even remember hoe your bike performed the day you got it? I am sure if you do a full service you will notice a huge improvement on your bike.
  3. Ja ek hoor jou but like you said then I keep taking it back easy it's my money not there's but ja then I will just keep getting a new fork evry 10 hours then buy myself a new one when it's warranty is done.
  4. You should see the new one it's not discoloring its marks scratches
  5. You know I told them specifically I am willing to pay in the x amount for an better fork and they won't allow this and yes my brother has a scott scale 980 it's a good bike never given problems and it has lower end components also I didn't buy it from cape cycles I bought it from Trek Lynnwood in pretoria.
  6. No I haven't as I always support TREK Lynnwood service my bike there whatever the bycicle mechanic Johan was and has always just been nice and the thing is I like my X-Caliber for me it's a decent and lekker bycicle like I mentioned previously I do have another trek and it's seen over 10k since new and it has zero wear or the fork and that's a even a lower end than the judy its a santour xct30 but hey it's been very good to me.
  7. No I don't unfortunately but I came home now had to finish some welding work, and I noticed both stanchions now is showing wear left and right side 1st fork it was less but now I see on the replacement fork its even worse I rode 12km then the rain was coming so I bailed next day I did 20km then again rain was a problem yesterday sunday 14th January I did 40km and came back cleaned the bike and everything so between the 2 forks it did 180km total and thos is how it looks like.
  8. You know I was aiming for the fuel ex 5 or the top fuel 5 but then again decided against it because I like Hardtail bycicles and service wise a Hardtail suits my buget better its sad to see even the top fuel has it and I kinda liked it.
  9. Exactly my thoughts there shouldn't be scratches or marks nothing.
  10. Well We'll they are gonna send it to SRAM now and we will see but after that I am done gonna if it keeps happening and you are not willing to help a loyal customer I always buy there service my bike there etc..
  11. This ain't the point it's not supposed to happen imagine seeing it a year later fucktup like I never really cared about my stuff and the fact that I am willing to pay in an X amount for a better fork and they say no that can't happen on a warranty claim to note also its the 2nd fork brand new heck even the X-Caliber is brand new bought it like December 2days after I got *** with it.
  12. So I got a new fork from Trek same problem again after 3 rides and they also said I can't upgrade the fork on a warranty claim either, so basically we are gonna go back and forth till the warranty expires because now again it's going back to SRAM.
  13. Ja nee then they are just gonna keep replacing my fork till they service it properly before handing it over to me ain't just gonna leave it there no way they can fix there ***.
  14. So some poeple already informed me of that thank you,but again why doesn't a bike shop perform a basic lower service then when a customer buys a new bike to make sure it's ready to go for the customer I mean it's TREK it's a huge company.
  15. I found a fox 34 and the the guy lives in inquestria very close to me and the second fork I found on bikehub was rockshox domain debonair will any if these work on the x caliber 8 2023
  16. Ja it's exactly what I told him but it ain't my bycicle I am just comparing mine is brand new has 2 rides on like 73km and its starting to wear if I have to gues his bike has maybe 2-3k on and the stanchions is clean clean no wear marks no scratches nothing
  17. So how much more am I looking at if I were to say go reba or whatever fork that doesn't do this,my brother has a scott scale 980 with a santour fork don't know which but its also black coated has his bike nearly 2years now he has ridden with me rosemary hill, cosbouse etc bike is due for 1st fork service now and comparing them Damm his fork is clean clean clean
  18. I think what I will do is just to be on the safe side park the bike and leave it till 4th of January when johan is back luckily I still have my trek marlin-5 which I can ride funny enough it has a low end coil spring santour xct30 and over 8000km on it and still looks good till this day not doing this crap my rockshox is.
  19. So I whatsapp them pictures and evrything of the fork and phoned them now they say the mechanic johan ain't there at the moment he's on holiday so I must bring the bycicle back in the new year then they will replace my fork with another one amd sort it out with Sram themselves in the meantime they said I must continue riding the bycicle.
  20. Will do thank you all, will take it back to TRek lynnwood today.
  21. But it's a brand new bike I bought it last week Thursday rode it twice went to wash it yesterday because of the dust and so forth and noticed it looks like its wearing like a fork that's never been serviced so do I take it back to trek to claim the warranty and make it there problem or not?I am afraid even if I service it regularly now after a year it will look like I don't give a Damm about my fork.
  22. Rockshox judy silver must I take the bike back or is it normal? New trek x-caliber and its doing this on the second ride.
  23. Bontrager alloy, 6-bolt, Boost110, 15 mm thru-axle front and the rear is Bontrager alloy, sealed bearing, 6-bolt, Shimano MicroSpline freehub, Boost148, 12 mm thru axle
  24. So is it worth it at 30k now?or should I just stay with my Hardtail bikes?was also looking at the X-Caliber 8
