I have a saris H3 trainer and a technogym, standalone bike, and I would opt for the saris trainer. Reason being I ride on it with the bike settings that I’m used to which means when it’s time for racing, I am used to my bike. The standalone bike would have slightly different geometry, and that might be an issue in terms of comfort. My bike has not suffered any damage from being on and off the trainer, but I’m not an expert on that. An indoor trainer, a fan, sweat guard, anti-slip mat, Zwift subscription and you’re good to go. You can ride along friends via Zwift and even join some group rides and races. It’s super fun. Good luck.

I washed my Uswe in the machine and i regret it. It’s never been the same since. It lost its perfect look. Nothing another person will notice but I as the owner can tell it lost its bolsterous look. Lol. I would stick to a soft brush and luke warm water. Handwash all the way.

I agree with MichaelBiker. Depends on your needs. I use Outlander2. It’s amazing for my hydration needs but no room for extras like spares etc.

I have Monton bibs and I love them. They have different ranges so be sure to be specific about whether you want the one with thicker padding by or the thinner ones. Also different materials and trimming. I would suggest buying in store if you are in Capetown or joburg. Better than online.

Rea really enjoyed riding today. But the crosswinds almost took me out. 😳 is there a specific bike i need to get? Im using a Kestrel Talon (time trial bike converted to road) so it has that sharp knife profile and crosswinds were coming at it like no man’s business. Well done to everyone
