I have been training with Energade past couple of weeks, should I look into using something like 32 GI for the race. Any other drink suggestions?
  4. Did a 5.30 last year. Going for a sub 5 this year. Proper long training rides start this weekend!
  5. Just ordered the storm 1.0 can't beat the value for money! Anyone have any ride reports of the bike?
  6. Thanks for the info! Decided the build is worthwhile and the way to go! The question now is what frame to go for?
  7. Medium 18-19"
  8. I have outgrown my Merida Matts Lite 1000-d 26" mtb and I plan to upgrade to a Hard tail carbon 29er. My budget is around 25-30k. Would it be more beneficial to build up a bike to meet my preferred components or buy the whole package in one? Time is not an issue as I am not in a huge rush. Have been looking at Scott Scale Pro, Scott Scale Expert, Merida Big nine 3000 carbon, Cannondale flash 1(alloy). Any Ideas?
  9. Hi. Thanks for the info, much appreciated. I managed to sort the pressure and the damping out in the end. Now just a matter of fine tweaking.
  10. Good day. I have a new merida hartail mtb, with the following front fork:Rock Shox Recon Gold R. I have not set it up properly yet as I am not sure how to do it properly. There is an air valve on the top left hand fork leg. I assume one should check how much pressure is in the fork and set according to ones weight. Then there is a red knob at the bottom right fork leg that adjusts rebound... How does one set that up? There is a picture of a tortoise and hare?? I have found currently when i ride without the lockout engaged the shock is very compressed even on a flat stretch. Please help any advice?? Thanks
  11. ok thanks for the info. I will look into it...
  12. think you'd have to drill it, they rivitted on...
  13. Does it bolt to the chasis? So one would just tap into the wires...>?
  14. Thanks for the replies Looks like its more than expected... @Chris The rack is good. Its ease of use is the best, takes couple of seconds to secure ones bike. There is a strap that holds the frame to the upright post... There is nothing that straps the wheels in, although there is very little movement. The bikes sits vas. One could strap the wheels in with a stretchy for safety's sake.
  15. I am looking to get a tow bar for my fiat palio, as i have acquired one of these holdfast racks: Can anyone tell me about how much it is to install a tow bar onto a hatch back. I imagine they would have to run a wiring lume for the lights to the back as well... Thanks
