Event Name: Q4 Platberg MTB Race When: 28 July 2018 Where: Platberg Eco Park, Freestate Category: MTB Q4 Platberg MTB race. We have a 10,25,45 and 60km race and not once do you need to go out of the borders of the Platberg Eco park. You might be one of the lucky once to see some of the wildlife we have in the mountain(Eland,Zebra,Water-buck,Wildebeest and Red Heartbeest). The lady's and gentlemen that will be doing the 45km and 60km will be treated with a view in the distance of the Drakenberg mountains and even Sterkfontein dam. The route has a good amount of climbing for the longer distance but the single tracks will make up for all the hard work you did to get to the foot of the Mountain. The 10km and 25km will be just as enjoying for the riders that was not putting in the hour's thru the winter. Event Name: Q4 Platberg MTB Race When: 19 August 2017 Where: Platberg Eco Park, Freestate Category: MTB Q4 Platberg MTB Race This is a weekend filled with MTB and Trail running in Harrismith. Registration from Friday 18 August 2017 Friday 18 August 2017 late afternoon we will host a night MTB or Trail run Saturday 19 August 2017 we will be hosting the Q4 Platberg MTB race 10km, 25km, and the 60km race. Sunday 20 August 2017 we host the trail runners for a nice trail run two different distances, we will confirm the distances and maps ASAP. MTB: We are the host for the Free State Marathon series leg two in a series of four races to take place over the Free State. The 60km route will have it fair share of climbing and then the reward of going down the very nice and flowing single track with some of the trails crossing streams and over bridges, you will get some awesome views of the Drakensberg, Sterkfontein dam and even Harrismith you will also pass near an old blockhouse while doing the race. The 25km race will be fun and if you did a MTB race before this one you will have fun with it there is a few climbs but as for the single tracks that follow and the crossing over and thru some water streams you will enjoy the day out on the bike and love the scenery. The 10km race will be for the youngster to enjoy and will be with little technical terrain. Event Name: Q4 Platberg Classic MTB Race When: 12 November 2016 Where: Platberg Eco Park, Freestate Category: MTB Q4 Platberg Classic MTB race Harrismith 12 November 2016 Platberg Mountain and Harrismith is right in the middle from Johannesburg,Durban and Bloemfontein so that makes this race the perfect getaway for the weekend to enjoy the beautiful view of the Drakensberg mountain and at some points in the distance Sterkfontein dam. Venue: Platberg Eco park Start time: 50km is 7:30 entry fee is R200 25km is 7:45 entry fee is R150 10km is 8:00 entry fee is R50 Bouttime will handle the entries and timing for us online entries will close 7 November 2016 there will be entry’s on the day off the race Saterday 12 November 2016 from 6:00 to 7:00 for all distances it will cost you R30 extra on race day. Hi all MTB riders I would like to know from all the MTB riders how many of you will be willing to go to the Free State to do a 2 day challenge race in November 2014? 1) Plan is for the First day to be more district road with little jeep track and single track and day Two more jeep track, single track and more climbing? 2) Day one also longer then day two? 3) Price Money for top 5 men and ladies? 4) Bike wash at the end? 5) Riders will have to arrange own over night sleeping and meals for weekend. I would like to have suggestion from all MTB riders to make this a big Two day race in the Free State to enjoy. Keep the MTB wheels on the gravel.

I want to lay out a XC track for XC race’s in Harrismith would the guys and lady’s be interested in driving to Harrismith and do the race and when in the year? A Saturday or Sunday? Please make any suggestions to make it a fun day for everyone? Please give me some feed back? Thanks
