  1. Sorry to hear Jacques! It's more than just the bike - it's the invasion of privacy too. Hope you guys are good and this is not a spoiler for the 21st bday.
  2. Utterly stupid reaction by these riders. Time for the offending riders to just man-up and do the right thing here. Power of social media: 34,500 views and over 400 replies on a post which is a little more than 12 hours young........This must be some sort of record on the hub
  3. Joined my wife for her first Cycle challenge, did a 04:37 both on knoblies.
  4. I had a 69er. Not a bad ride but it definitely didn't handle better than bikes with two 29ers or two 26ers imo. Just like the 69'er, Can't see this hybrid taking off either.
  5. is it just me, or did they clear many of the rocks off puffadder? It felt smooth and ultra fast this year. Last year I recall far more rocks (OK, I was on a hardtail last year, but still)
  6. +1
  7. spell checker was clearly not used for my last post Back from the ride, and it was even better than expected! what a jol
  8. We missed out on doing Great Wall my China and Solky's Folly last year so hoping to experience this year. Magical riding
  9. the three different coloured shooters they referred to as a robot probably aint good for hyfdration either. But heck, it tasted good and was for a good cause. To the guy in the cow suit and cow bell on your bike..........has the ringing in your ears stopped yet mate?
  10. Not the most enjoyable ride due to lack of singletrack and technical. Mostly farm roads. But well orginized, good route markings and general logistics - kudos
  11. great route, challenging for my riding, but very enjoyable. Logistics and venue is one of the best out there. well done to the race organizers def will be back for more next year
  12. Anthem X1?
  13. I'm also shopping for a full sus for XC and marathon riding (spot, not racing), and those two came to mind. Without riding either yet, feedback from a few forums indicate the Scott Spark is a little more bouncy on climbs and technical descents, whereas the Giant Anthem is very steady and predictable in its handling. I personally prefer the look of the Scott but starting to sway towards the handling performance of te Anthem. Must also mention I'm thinking of the alu rather than the carbon. Not convinced that the price difference justifies the relative small functional benefits. Will keep you updated on my decision.
  14. pm me - may take it off your hands Spinnekop
  15. They have dropped the 26" and will only release the 650B and 29er for next year some previews available on this link: http://flowmountainbike.com/2013/06/review-first-impression-test/
  16. Entered. Fortunate to have had a mate who passed his entry onto me - seems to be the only way in these days
  17. heck, how can I overlook that one! We really have some great talent indeed
