  1. You try Nightwing Couriers? They used to run trucks down to CPT from Josi just with bikes for guys wanting to ride. Give them a shout, might get lucky.
  2. Incredible sad, this place wont be the same. Started off reading the thread, feeling shocked at what happened, and looking for a happy ending, however finding anything but. Didnt know him personally, but respected him and admired him for what he was doing in the community and the animals which came into his life. Condolences to all who knew him and his family. Very very sad loss.
  3. lol at the little voice... what kid would throw his mom in the poo like that.... hahahahahahaha
  4. Drives in general atm, are behaving extremely badly. Unfortunately it is the 'general public' drivers, at least 80% of them. Even driving on the road is getting dangerous. If I had a camera to record the amount of stupid **** happening, with people just not looking or thinking.. it would take hours to finish watching it.
  5. 4,5kg is alot, even for the average traveller, this could put their luggage over the limit, let alone the space and responsibility to bring it over. Asking somebody to do this is taking a chance. Aramexglobalshopper is good, especially if they dont ship out the country themselves, they can drop with Aramex have them ship it over. Non Docs shipments import or export are costly...
  6. Yeah its no problem, stay out of the dunes however, not that you would end up there on your bike. I had to have a laugh though at this one guy and his brand new fat bike on Noordhoek beach. Was a fantastic morning, this guy obviously wanted to try out his new toy (didnt look all that fit to be honest), tide was fairly low, no wind. He rides past us as we get out of the car with the dogs etc and watch him ride down the sand path, next to the wooden footbridge down to the beach. Hes looking good, rides around the right edge (around the 'lake' at the top of the beach) and onto the hardpack sand. Looked like he was ready to ride all the way to Longbeach based on the size of his backpack. He made it about 300meters, got off, and pushed it back up the beach back to the parking lot, through the worst kind of soft sand. I dont think he had any idea how tough it is to ride a fatbike on sand, semi hard and that its a constant slog with the tyres not really wanting to go forward on their own momentum. I wonder if he ever rode that bike again... XC bike on the same sand would have been 10 x better.
  7. Now that Ive read the entire thread, start to finish.. im itching for an update to this saga.. Hoping the **** got his just rewards.
  8. Damn bf making other bf's look bad. Good story though and great looking bike Happy bday to you.
  9. Yep, replace the clamp, will sort your issue. Had the same with mine.
  10. Motocycle wheels/rims and brakes as far as I know? Think they confirmed this. If Nino rides a 29r now, pretty much everywhere, I think that says enough.
  11. This is good, rather push the funds to service delivery for the people suffering the most. Bicycle lanes can wait.. more important things are needed.
  12. Feel bad for Sagan, however most of those guys know how to throw their bikes around safely without attracting any technicals.. Would have been awesome if he tried to stay with the leaders.. wonder if we will see any more from him.
  13. I bought a pair of these recently on sale for about R1499 at Cape union. Definitely would not run or trail run or even hike in them, but they are great daily run around shoes, clients, office, shops etc etc. Get some real shoes if you want to take them outdoors. Other than that, they are fairly comfy.
