I decided to get back on my Mountain Bike earlier this year (2000 km ridden to date), after a 3-year-long hiatus. Led a pretty sedentary life until this point. I decided to make some changes, and I am enjoying the new me 😀…
I joined a local cycling club, and now I can’t wait for the Saturday Group Rides - but I have reconsidered that decision a few times because I keep getting dropped (unsurprisingly). My power-to-weight ratio (according to TrainerRoad, and the readings from my Wahoo Kickr Core) is currently at 2.5 W/kg… I am seeing it creeping up, so it’s another motivator for me to keep going!
HR still averaging up in Zone 4 (220-age) in my attempts to keep with the A group in the club - still ending up travelling home alone, but the gap is closing 😅
