  1. How was your MYRACE experience so far I am a regular user. I have the following questions

Why does it take so long for licenses to be issueD?

Why is there so many mistakes? Wrong categories and photos.

Why is the system so user unfriendly. Why not rather enter a search for your club rather than select from this list?

Why can you not make any corrections to data entered?

Why is the addressing so pathetic? What about people staying in complexes?

What about postal addresses? Not everybody make use of street delivery?

How did this procurement process worked?

Have this company ever done something like this before?

Were CSA sure about the spec they wanted?

Why does it take more than two years to try and develop such an elementary system?

This system just add a whole lot of costs to clubs with distribution of licenses and not to mention the many pissed off people phoning clubs about licenses which takes for ever to be issued.

I have applied for full licenses on behalf of a number of people. No forms were signed, etc. Is this in line with the UCI requirements? Do not think so.

CAN YOU NOT GET YOUR ACT TOGETHER???
  2. What is happening with Development at CSA. I beleive there is no money.

Apparently there is two black youngsters at the UCI Acadamy in Potch who are really talented. Problem is they sit there witout any financial backing. Apparently these kids have no pocket money and CSA cannot assist them from the side of the Development Comission.

The other question is whether the Development Commission still exists?

They have a fantastic coach who funds a lot out of his own pocket. He has many riders from under 14 to under 23 who show a lot of promise and dedication. They also achieve many results  on 2003 Lotto Raleigh's which are falling apart.
  3. I cannot post on my topic "Vingers in die till". Dit het niks met Greg Till tedoen nie voordat ons te ver gaan met die een.

Maar daar is 'n paar verskillende hande wel in die till.

Party kry lekker "kick backs" ensovoorts.

    Veilige goed georganiseerde goedkoop wedrenne.

Is daar nog plek vir so iets.

Wie dink ons moet weer 'n trapkrag vereniging stig en die huidige establishment in hulle m*** in stuur?

  5. This is really a shame. I wonder how Brandon's sponsor feels about being associated with such a reckless person who blatantly causes someone harm in the true an eye for an eye style.

Apparently the post race investigation into the matter revealed that it was not really a switch by Kevin and that Brandon made a bit of a turn off road. Apparently confirmed by Brandon. This seems to be like Mountain Bike gangsterism by Brandon and his team mates. Maybe they still hurt from all the beatings they had to endear from Kevin in the past.

Bottomline is Brandon accepted the comm's decision and now cries in the media about it. Also not necesary to bad mouth other riders.

Maybe Brandon should be suspended for a few months for bringing the sport in disripute.

What do you think? Bicycle hooliganism!!!!!!
  6. Selection for vets world is always a joke!!!!!!!

Sa Cycling offer No fanancial help to get riders over there.

I was selected last year . All I got was a phone call for my fax number as they wanted to mail me the SA cycling kit price list!!!

I haven't even heard of half the guys selected !!! And its not a true reflection of which vets are the strongset in the country

To the selectors!!! GO F#CK yourselves!!!!!!

O and sorry before I forget what does BMP think of the very upstanding people they sponsor.

I wonder if any Sponsor would like to associate themselves with your comments Mr. Harvey.

I think the purpose of selecting a team to worlds is more giving recognition to riders than to go and race as a team. If we want to go and race as a team we will need millions to send one.

Roughly 10 categories * 6 riders + manager and 2 support staff = 90 people * 2 to include ladies = 180 people. Times this by R 1000 FOR KIT ALONE AND WE ARE LOOKING AT R 180 000. You can calculate the rest.

What do we need to get selectors to go to 2 races per weekend taking into consideration time, accommodation, meals and travelling cost. Lets say R 3000 a day * 2 = R 6000 * 2 (TWO SELECTORS). Now times this by 40 weekends.

So how do we address the issue? All the teams each contribute say R 1 000 000 a year and we can do this to your liking.

    Any suggestions?

Now we can take it even further and discuss the Vets specializing in the Time Trial. How many more people must be selected?

Complicate matters more. Some guys race in teams and others individually. As the vets teams are based on individuals who do you select. You can in some categories pick anyone of 12 riders who have performed well in some race or another.

Should a vets worlds team be selected?

Maybe we should make it easy and make SA champs the one and only selection race. Then just the first three per cat in the road race is selected. Then everyone will know when to perform at their best.

Whatever the selectors do they will never keep everyone happy.

  8. Utrecht, Netherlands - A Dutch judge on Wednesday ordered the Rabobank cycling team to pay Michael Rasmussen $1m compensation for wrongful dismissal after they fired him during last year's Tour de France for lying about his whereabouts to avoid doping tests.

The ruling comes after Rasmussen was handed a two-year ban from racing late on Tuesday by the Monaco cycling federation, which issued the Dane's pro license.

The Danish cycling federation confirmed the ban on its website, and said Rasmussen could appeal the decision to the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

The damages ordered by the Dutch court included a $630 000) bonus Rasmussen would have been awarded by the team had he won the Tour de France.
