  1. Got my self a set of Fulcrum Red Metal 1 xl 29er wheels set. What a difference my bike has become so much more responsive
  2. That don't look so good dude. I'm gonna have a look @ mine tomorrow morning. But it could either be the Matt clear coat cracking due to the movement around the bb ( dude serious watts ) or it could be that the bb shell in the frame was not built into the frame properly so difinately a warranty claim That's just my un-educated 2c's worth use or don't use it Stay sharp and frosty
  3. Ok so guys the peeps at cyclesport sorted out my issues in no time. And I guess if you go in with a positive attitude and be civil to them I'm sure they will be more than willing to help you like I said earlier in the post we are all human and we all make mistakes. And to the team @ Cyclesport I would like to say a big THANK YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So guys in ending be patient and civil( try to be I guess I was a bit ruff on them so apologys are due ) and just go out there and enjoy the awesome trail seeker series as I have for 2 yrs now and yes every year it does get better. Regards Aaron xc
  4. Hi Swart Piet you are right about the Van Gaalens course being a technical one and I do see the mind set behind the seeding setup for this race and about the emails I get it **** does happen And for my 2 c I really hope this system works cause South Africans are very strange ie ultra competitive even when we don't think we are and I absolutely love it as it makes us all stronger for the better.
  5. Oh I just checked my race index on Saseeding and it's a lot better from a 62 to a 41 so well impressed but still very confused by this monumental balls up. And by the looks of things there are many out there in Hubber land with the same issue
  6. But guys this is a service we pay for & we are not getting the proper service, and why should faster riders be penilised for other people's stuff ups cause at the down & dirty I was also affected as I had to dismount & jump across the stream too like 90% of the other riders I fact I cycled like 30m away from the bridge and found a gap and made a plan I lost a couple of minutes so I really don't think it was because of that well at least I hope so
  7. Dude I got enough for the hole of A & B batch nearly threw my damn phone away
  8. I mean how the hell does this system work maybe it's some type of bee where the more experienced riders make way for the lesser experienced riders but who knows for sure
  9. So round about 12 today I got my seeding/ batch email all 94 of them. Now the question I have got is how can a person who is rated 8 th in the race series and in my last race @ down & dirty I came 10 th in my age group ( senior men ) . How the hell can I go from B batch to F batch in 1 race . !!!!!!!!!!!!!! The other issue I have is now I must drive to the registration venu in paulshof to sort out there stuff up as in the email it states no emails or phone calls queries will be entertained. Now the other thing is who is going to pay for my wasted time & let alone the 100km round trip Then the other thing I train damn hard to get the results I get and for a good seeding ie 3:55 am training times surely they could get act together I am very miff about this but will see tomorrow. I guess we are only human but still damn miff about it aaaaaarrrrrrrrrgggggggg'''!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rant over
  10. Now guys on a serious note who is this debbie and my. Bro could seriously utilise her service's

Well in trems of fittness im currently 9th overal in the nissan trail seeker halfmarathon series just love it its almost like you hold your breath for 40km to the finnish bang its over i love the sprint races/ really truth be told im a wanna be racing snake but my goal for this series is top 5
  18. hey guys glad you like the post the reason for the diff in tyre pressure was i thought i was gonna battle with it being a hard tail and to soften the blows but didnt at all so i will be back to my 1.7 front 1.8 rear and my stats 1. 89m tall 80kg and do round about 220km per week
  19. Lets start off by saying Finish line cycles are real champs such legends . So my little story i went from a 96 3000D dual sus 26inch 3 x 10 to the STORM 1 29ER hard tail 2 x 10. At first i was really un sure about the move but away i went with it so i clocked up about 250+km on the road just to get used to the set up and to my suprise i got used to the 2 x 10 very quicly and evan the hard tail was no problem at all. This bike is truely awesome yes (biased opinion) Any ways the frame is responsive and light for a sub 25k bike the groupset shimano xt 2012 well that says it all the components FSA carbon bar, stem, alu seat post . the wheel set well they are just great stans ztr crest with 330 hubs i did change the tyre combo though from the maxiss cross marx to conti mountain king front and race king on the back at 1,8 bar front & 1,7 bar at the back and she just runs so so smooth now. The fork is a Rock Shock SID RL 100mm dual air is amazing to just smooths out the ride so nicely. Then came time to doing a bit of off road riding so place i decided to do battle at was the new modderfontain trail i do have a loop that i do and in total its about 34km and about dare i say close on to 700m of climbing and with the merida i would do it round about 1h51m and with the storm 1 i managed a 1h41 so pretty in pressed and i made sure i stayed in the same zones as to get a fair reading I just noticed like my center of gravity was lower and could hit the bends at speed with out washing out baring in mind i had the same setup on my 96 in terms of tyres and pressures and coming from dual sus to hard tail there is a bit of a change in terms of riding style but no biggy at all and was really comfortable on it So in closing those top brands are great yes @ a huge price the Storm 1 is great @ a more reasonoble price/realistic price and im well happy with the change all be it Biased SWEET!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  20. wow i like it alot i wonder it the hydraulic on will work on my fork and cost is the key question ???????
  21. Its a rock shock sid rl 29er Air 100mm 15mm axel
  22. Hey guys so I was wondering if it would be possible to add a hydraulic lock out to my fork cause I have seen a kit on chain reaction so will it work?
