  1. I know them both, Allen from CL ER is good with custom Jobs and Annette from Cycledelic is a perfectionist when it come to restoring paintwork. For touch ups I'll definitely go to Annette.
  2. Got mine from Cycle Lab East Rand in December and love it.
  3. Wish I could say the same as I used to. Purchased a Bell Gage helmet two weeks ago from CWC and had to swop it for a smaller size. I phoned Emile on Monday who confirmed he had the right size and wrote my name and number on the unit for collection. I specifically told him that I'm from JHB and will ask a colleague of mine flying to Cape Town on Friday, to exchange the helmet for me. He confirmed that everything is in order and he promised to keep it. Today when my colleague arrived to pickup the helmet, he was told that it was sold online and blamed Omnico for not delivering another unit on time. I've dealt with CWC for many years and cannot believe the poor service I received today from Emile. Just cant trust these guys anymore!
  4. For those of you that are keen to do a 100+km road group ride , I see Cycle Lab East Rand Club is planning to do a nice long ride on Sunday. They are planning two groups with different averages. Check out their Facebook page for detail.
  5. I suspect that they've replaced the hanger, but they could not get it right with the complete dura-ace groupset.
  6. I've decided to take my S2 for a service on the 30th of May at a reputable bike shop as it was last service just before the 94.7. The bike shop owner advised that there is something wrong as they cannot get the gears set perfectly for the two highest gears on the Dura-ace 9700, there was a delay in the shift. They’ve tried everything, new cables, new derailleur, cluster etc. and eventually decided to call on help from the Shimano distributor as they suspected it to be a geometric issue, but wanted a second opinion. To make the story shorter…Shimano confirmed there was nothing wrong with the groupset and the bike was then send to the Cervelo distributor, Emotion Cycling , for review. Emotion cycles advised that they fixed the problem by replacing the cluster and chain with Sram, maybe because it’s more forgiving. Do you think it is fair to accept a bastardised groupset to compensate for a geometric issue, I do not? Don’t get me wrong, I’m a huge Cervelo fan….can’t say the same for our local support.
  7. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot? I've got nothing to gain, (except for maybe a bit of discount next time ) just giving credit where it's due. Nothing wrong being a skeptic, but there are some people who will see the handwriting on the wall and claim it's a forgery. Thanks for such a warm welcome to the forums.
  8. Excellent shop and service. I just wish that their stock of S-Works road shoes will arrive
