Saw this guy at the start, didn't have the heart to tell him that Pick n Pay no longer sponsor the event.
Pantani' date=' is that you with a beard? [/quote']No it can't be its Thug coming out of hibernationSee you jokers tonight.
.maybe someone else can comment how technical it is' date=' I don't know what "technical" is in terms of road riding...[/quote']How many turns are there, are they sharp turns or can they be taken wide. What I'm trying to establish is....Would you advise a new rider (who's still very nervous on a bike) to take part in this? The corners are only as technical as you want to make them, at 10-15km/hr they not technical, but if you crank it up and start taking them at 30 plus, then yes they get technical. I started last year and crawled around but with every Tuesday I got better, now I can corner with best of them. Come give it a bash, you won't be disappointed and it's great training.
And there are 6 turns and as ND said it's about 900m per lap. Oh and I think there was only one crash last year and the medics where there in a flash.
Yipeeeeeeeeee, the best news I've heard all year. Can't wait!!!
i don't think it is overdone. the conflicting messages and everchanging position on what armstrong and contador's roles were to be in the run-up and then during the tour is exactly the reason for my first post here: that lance cannot claim kudos for "agreeing" to help the spaniard. the team works for one man; that's the way lance and johan, then alberto and johan always rolled.I am no expert in the tactics of cycling. I do however understand sponsorship and who pays the bills.<?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
What baffles me in all of this is that there is no doubt AC is the strongest by far and will' date=' baring an accident or mechanical in the last three stages, win this Tour. And this has been pretty obvious from stage 15 up to Verbier.
Then surely from a team/ sponsors/ Managers/ team members point of view it only makes sense for the team to look at securing 2nd and 3rd place in the GC, which was certainly on the cards.
I can only conclude that if there is a non team player in Astana, it must be AC who with his attack which left Kloden out of contention for a podium in <?: prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Paris, showed us he is only interested in his victory and nothing else.
If I had 4 million Euro I would certainly think twice before signing Mr. Contador onto my team.
Just my 2c worth.
[/quote']ok, imagine this?you're signed by johan bruyneel cos he tell you he sees the same drive in you as he does in lance. you work your ass off. you become the man who has won all three grand tours in the shortest time. you are looking forward to reclaiming the title you were denied defending because of someone else getting caught for doping. then, all of a sudden you're told that you are no longer #1 on your team. This no. 1 argument is way over done, I honestly believe it depends on the situation and the form the rider has at the particular event. Astana had 3 maybe even 4 possible contenders, when one showed his superiority then he becomes no. 1. Look at Wiggins /Vander Velde who?s the number 1? <?: prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Had LA dropped AC on the climb to Verbier and showed consistently that he was the stronger then surely it would make sense for the team to get him to <?: prefix = st1 ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:smarttags" />Paris in first place. And with a team like Astana 2nd and 3rd must have always been on the cards.
It was all just a smoke screen, Alberto was always no 1. They just did it so you guys in the media would keep it the headlinesThe teams objectives, I believe, were 1st and then if possible 2nd and 3rd but that aint going to happen now because someone lost the plot.

Another friggin' "transitional stage" - what are they trying to transform into ?It's been said before and I have to say it again - this year's tour is boring boring boring.3 weeks of defensive riding for a one day race on the second last day (especially when one team has half the good riders) just sucks.
If I have to watch that ad one more time!! They obviously thought that TDF would be a good time to air it 10 000 times! Jeeez
IT DIDN'T WORK.
It's just an attempt by the French to secure a win for some Frenchman in the breakaway on Bastille Day, pathetic!!!
I dont ever think they will share their "nutritional" secrets... well maybe in many years time when they are all retired and cant be prosecuted"At breakfast. UCI antidoping inspectors just walked in. Blood control for Levi' date=' klodi, alberto, and myself. This is a good thing..about 1 hour ago from UberTwitter" Lance on Twitter.Fand. give it a break bud, when/if they get bust then we can rip them apart until then lets just accept that it's the ice cream and enjoy the racing[/quote']You mean like 2yrs ago when vino (astana rider) was busted?or last yearBernhard Kohl (Gerolsteiner)Riccardo Ricco (Saunier Duval)Leonardo Piepoli (Saunier Duval)Stephan Schumacher (Gerolsteiner)Moises Duinas (Barloworld)and on and on....Until they get bust I will keep on watching and enjoying.

[/quote']Where are they moving to, and when?Same centre as before but on the North Western Corner next to the Cash Converters. I think its next week.
Also use it and I must say it works just as good as all those fancy chamois creams at a fraction of the price.
I may have a broken saddle and a few roasties, but man O man, Herman Fouche and must be having a really *** Friday the 13th.
amateur, road rash is not bad at all, I'm just pissed off about the saddle it was just getting comfy. We doing a Tde JHB 2morrow if you want to join.
dude i have a yellow flite thats not on a bike yet you can use it for sunday if you dont mind looking like an east rand special hehehehe
I see I wasn't the only one to have an incident this morning. Steve my thoughts are with, you hope you make a quick recovery.
I've bought 2 items on Ebay saved myself R3400-00 on the cheapest price in SA. Paid a nominal handling fee on the first item, (set of new tandem cranks)no VAT or import duties and zero on a brand new out the box Edge 705.
I had a Thule roof rack. Took an off ramp too quickly. heard a nasty bang and found my bike' date=' still attached to the roofrack by the wheels, dangling next to my window. Frame had come out of the upright arm which is supposed to hold it in place. No damage to my wife's car but derailleur hanger broken, derailleur damaged . total cost about R2500.Probably my own fault for going too fast. I sold the roofrack shortly afterwards.[/quote']Which thule bike carrier system did you have? I personally have tried both the Proride and Freeride and can't see the point of spending the extra 1k for the Proride. It's very unstable in cross winds and isn't as secure as the Freeride. I think the extra 1 K is just for Bling.
I've got a Thule roof rack. On the trip down to Bloem. last year for the OFM with 3 bikes and some serious wind my A4 only used 1.2 litre/100 more than normal . I love it, sure you got to remember that it's there or it could end up rather expensive.
