  1. Reverse image search, must be some kind of special stooopid to fall for this crap http://www.bikeshd.co.uk/posts/specialized-demo-8-carbon-275-mountain-bike-2017-satin-blackblack
  2. Man, it takes two sentences from Gummi to wrap this up.
  3. 1: you were under the impression 12 years werent allowed to ride those distances, so doubt you have in depth knowledge of that "category" then 2: different categories do start at the time times, different batches possibly, but a 16 year old doing the 50k lines up next to the 45 year old. They race in different categories, but start right next to each other 3: none of the above prevents the op from lining up right next his kid and riding with him, regardless of your feelings on parenting or ethics. 4: unless the race rules clearly state its a age BATCHED race, then its rules sucked out of their thumbs, and if they run on uci rules the op is in his full right to ask show me a 5 min rule.
  4. Dont come with logic and wanting to respond to an actual question, its the hub. We have 11 year old super mechanics roaming freely here
  5. Sunshine i gave you stellenbosch as an example, you were under the impression 12 years werent even allowed to ride. Focus
  6. Damn if we could be as cool as you and your kids.
  7. pretty simple, his kid is allowed to ride the 30k in Stellenbosch for example; and so is he. Ie; nothing prevents him from riding right next to his kid.
  8. Sure, trust you have kids as well.
  9. No, its not categories. It is age limits set at minimum; otherwise there will not be a single rider above 18 riding in any of the distances except if they got invited to ride the 75k.
  10. Its a 30 k race for anyone, age limits are set at minimum. A 70 year old can enter it if they want.
  11. Uum, thanks for getting back on topic after your helpful instructions on getting a 12 year old to be a mechanic; the op clearly asked what rule is it they (and apparently you) are refering too.
  12. Well that complicates matters as the rules for U10 says a adult needs to be present, the ops kid is 12 though, so can legitimately ride 30k race.
  13. Dont dis old eddy, he is still dealing with comprehension skills as well, still under the impression the op is racing 12 year olds. Parenting advise on the hub..... go sit down eddy, you need a break.
  14. Pretty much all races with various race distances. http://www.stellenboschmtbchallenge.co.za/enter/
  15. What are you on about? He clearly states he does not physically assist in any way, the kid is very clearly racing on his own steam. As for assisting with technicals.....mmmm, noticed how there are techies fixing roadies bikes and in stage races how other team members jump in and fix one their riders bikes. There is no rule that says a fellow rider cannot assist with technicals, if you are expecting a 12 year old to fix a flat on a tubeless wheel, something most grownups battle with. Agree wit Eugene, show me the rule or jog on.
  16. At that price point they are WAY off putting pressure on XT, a single % of riders who can or will dish out R8k plus for one extra gear.
  17. out of stock; busy ordering

having a technical blond moment here; downloaded the tcx file to dropbox..... how to transfer this to garmin connect....
  19. checked, Cape Multi; didnt see it on their list. will drop them a mail and ask. cheers
  20. Agree with all above, been hammering mine for 3 years; not as much as a broken spoke; have totaled two Oozy Spanks in the same time. As for weight..... empty half of one of you water bottles and you just saved the supposed "weight" issue.
  21. I will happily still too mechanical for a good few years still, the tech on electric is way to new for my liking; as with computers and cell phones. Sorting out gremlins and fine tuning only kickc in a few "generations" later. There seems to be a business opertunity for an electrical engineer here though, if warranty lapse after 2 years. Pretty sure Shimano is not making electrical parts, circuits or switches in-house.
  22. No one said it wasn't on par.... a pretty plain question; why would there be a different distance for ladies vs men? (and yes, I know its the rules) but that doesnt tell me why there is a different distance. No worries for these self same riders to klap the exact same routes and distances as the guys on Epic etc. seems a sexist, outdated; women are weaker than men relic too me; thats all.
  23. Think the crux with this is here : "Schwalbe presented the first tread cutter for MTB tires at the opening round of the MTB World Cup in Lourdes, France, April 7th to 10th. "
